| ܦܘܠܘܣ ܫܠܝܚܐ ܠܐ ܡܢ ܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܘܠܐ ܒܝܕ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܐܠܐ ܒܝܕ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܘܐܠܗܐ ܐܒܘܗܝ ܗܘ ܕܐܩܝܡܗ ܡܢ ܒܝܬ ܡܝܬܐ | Παῦλος ἀπόστολος, οὐκ ἀπ’ ἀνθρώπων οὐδὲ δι’ ἀνθρώπου ἀλλὰ διὰ Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ καὶ Θεοῦ Πατρὸς τοῦ ἐγείραντος αὐτὸν ἐκ νεκρῶν, | 1 | Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;) | بُولُسُ، رَسُولٌ لَا مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَا بِإِنْسَانٍ، بَلْ بِيَسُوعَ ٱلْمَسِيحِ وَٱللهِ ٱلْآبِ ٱلَّذِي أَقَامَهُ مِنَ ٱلْأَمْوَاتِ، | |
| ܘܟܠܗܘܢ ܐܚܐ ܕܥܡܝ ܠܥܕܬܐ ܕܐܝܬ ܒܓܠܛܝܐ | καὶ οἱ σὺν ἐμοὶ πάντες ἀδελφοί, ταῖς ἐκκλησίαις τῆς Γαλατίας· | 2 | And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia: | وَجَمِيعُ ٱلْإِخْوَةِ ٱلَّذِينَ مَعِي، إِلَى كَنَائِسِ غَلَاطِيَّةَ: | |
| ܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܥܡܟܘܢ ܘܫܠܡܐ ܡܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܐܒܐ ܘܡܢ ܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ | χάρις ὑμῖν καὶ εἰρήνη ἀπὸ Θεοῦ Πατρὸς ἡμῶν καὶ Κυρίου Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ, | 3 | Grace {be} to you and peace from God the Father, and {from} our Lord Jesus Christ, | نِعْمَةٌ لَكُمْ وَسَلَامٌ مِنَ ٱللهِ ٱلْآبِ، وَمِنْ رَبِّنَا يَسُوعَ ٱلْمَسِيحِ، | |
| ܗܘ ܕܝܗܒ ܢܦܫܗ ܚܠܦ ܚܛܗܝܢ ܕܢܦܨܝܢ ܡܢ ܥܠܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܒܝܫܐ ܐܝܟ ܨܒܝܢܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܐܒܘܢ | τοῦ δόντος ἑαυτὸν ὑπὲρ τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν ἡμῶν, ὅπως ἐξέληται ἡμᾶς ἐκ τοῦ αἰῶνος τοῦ ἐνεστῶτος πονηροῦ κατὰ τὸ θέλημα τοῦ Θεοῦ καὶ Πατρὸς ἡμῶν, | 4 | Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: | ٱلَّذِي بَذَلَ نَفْسَهُ لِأَجْلِ خَطَايَانَا، لِيُنْقِذَنَا مِنَ ٱلْعَالَمِ ٱلْحَاضِرِ ٱلشِّرِّيرِ حَسَبَ إِرَادَةِ ٱللهِ وَأَبِينَا، | |
| ܕܠܗ ܫܘܒܚܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܠܡܝܢ ܐܡܝܢ | ᾧ ἡ δόξα εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας τῶν αἰώνων· ἀμήν. | 5 | To whom {be} glory for ever and ever. Amen. | ٱلَّذِي لَهُ ٱلْمَجْدُ إِلَى أَبَدِ ٱلْآبِدِينَ. آمِينَ. | |
| ܡܬܕܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܒܥܓܠ ܡܬܗܦܟܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܡܢ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܗܘ ܕܩܪܟܘܢ ܒܛܝܒܘܬܗ ܠܐܚܪܬܐ ܣܒܪܬܐ | Θαυμάζω ὅτι οὕτως ταχέως μετατίθεσθε ἀπὸ τοῦ καλέσαντος ὑμᾶς ἐν χάριτι Χριστοῦ εἰς ἕτερον εὐαγγέλιον, | 6 | I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: | إِنِّي أَتَعَجَّبُ أَنَّكُمْ تَنْتَقِلُونَ هَكَذَا سَرِيعًا عَنِ ٱلَّذِي دَعَاكُمْ بِنِعْمَةِ ٱلْمَسِيحِ إِلَى إِنْجِيلٍ آخَرَ! | |
| ܐܝܕܐ ܕܠܐ ܐܝܬܝܗ ܐܠܐ ܐܢܫܐ ܗܘ ܐܝܬ ܕܕܠܚܝܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܘܨܒܝܢ ܕܢܫܚܠܦܘܢ ܣܒܪܬܗ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ | ὃ οὐκ ἔστιν ἄλλο· εἰ μή τινές εἰσιν οἱ ταράσσοντες ὑμᾶς καὶ θέλοντες μεταστρέψαι τὸ εὐαγγέλιον τοῦ Χριστοῦ. | 7 | Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. | لَيْسَ هُوَ آخَرَ، غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ يُوجَدُ قَوْمٌ يُزْعِجُونَكُمْ وَيُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يُحَوِّلُوا إِنْجِيلَ ٱلْمَسِيحِ. | |
| ܐܦ ܐܢ ܚܢܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܘ ܡܠܐܟܐ ܡܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܢܣܒܪܟܘܢ ܠܒܪ ܡܢ ܡܐ ܕܣܒܪܢܟܘܢ ܢܗܘܐ ܚܪܡ | ἀλλὰ καὶ ἐὰν ἡμεῖς ἢ ἄγγελος ἐξ οὐρανοῦ εὐαγγελίσηται ὑμῖν παρ’ ὃ εὐηγγελισάμεθα ὑμῖν, ἀνάθεμα ἔστω. | 8 | But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. | وَلَكِنْ إِنْ بَشَّرْنَاكُمْ نَحْنُ أَوْ مَلَاكٌ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاءِ بِغَيْرِ مَا بَشَّرْنَاكُمْ، فَلْيَكُنْ «أَنَاثِيمَا»! | |
| ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܡܢ ܠܘܩܕܡ ܐܡܪܬ ܘܗܫܐ ܬܘܒ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܕܐܢ ܐܢܫ ܡܣܒܪ ܠܟܘܢ ܠܒܪ ܡܢ ܡܐ ܕܩܒܠܬܘܢ ܢܗܘܐ ܚܪܡ | ὡς προειρήκαμεν, καὶ ἄρτι πάλιν λέγω, εἴ τις ὑμᾶς εὐαγγελίζεται παρ’ ὃ παρελάβετε, ἀνάθεμα ἔστω. | 9 | As we said before, so say I now again, If any {man} preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. | كَمَا سَبَقْنَا فَقُلْنَا أَقُولُ ٱلْآنَ أَيْضًا: إِنْ كَانَ أَحَدٌ يُبَشِّرُكُمْ بِغَيْرِ مَا قَبِلْتُمْ، فَلْيَكُنْ «أَنَاثِيمَا»! | |
| ܗܫܐ ܓܝܪ ܠܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܗܘ ܡܦܝܣ ܐܢܐ ܐܘ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܐܘ ܠܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܒܥܐ ܐܢܐ ܕܐܫܦܪ ܐܠܘ ܓܝܪ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܗܫܐ ܠܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܫܦܪ ܗܘܝܬ ܥܒܕܐ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܗܘܝܬ | Ἄρτι γὰρ ἀνθρώπους πείθω ἢ τὸν Θεόν; ἢ ζητῶ ἀνθρώποις ἀρέσκειν; εἰ ἔτι ἀνθρώποις ἤρεσκον, Χριστοῦ δοῦλος οὐκ ἂν ἤμην. | 10 | For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. | أَفَأَسْتَعْطِفُ ٱلْآنَ ٱلنَّاسَ أَمِ ٱللهَ؟ أَمْ أَطْلُبُ أَنْ أُرْضِيَ ٱلنَّاسَ؟ فَلَوْ كُنْتُ بَعْدُ أُرْضِي ٱلنَّاسَ، لَمْ أَكُنْ عَبْدًا لِلْمَسِيحِ. | |
| ܡܘܕܥ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܚܝ ܕܣܒܪܬܐ ܕܐܣܬܒܪܬ ܡܢܝ ܠܐ ܗܘܬ ܡܢ ܒܪܢܫܐ | γνωρίζω γὰρ ὑμῖν, ἀδελφοί, τὸ εὐαγγέλιον τὸ εὐαγγελισθὲν ὑπ’ ἐμοῦ ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν κατὰ ἄνθρωπον· | 11 | But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. | وَأُعَرِّفُكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلْإِخْوَةُ ٱلْإِنْجِيلَ ٱلَّذِي بَشَّرْتُ بِهِ، أَنَّهُ لَيْسَ بِحَسَبِ إِنْسَانٍ. | |
| ܐܦܠܐ ܓܝܪ ܐܢܐ ܡܢ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܩܒܠܬܗ ܘܝܠܦܬܗ ܐܠܐ ܒܓܠܝܢܐ ܕܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ | οὐδὲ γὰρ ἐγὼ παρὰ ἀνθρώπου παρέλαβον αὐτό οὔτε ἐδιδάχθην, ἀλλὰ δι’ ἀποκαλύψεως Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ. | 12 | For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught {it}, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. | لِأَنِّي لَمْ أَقْبَلْهُ مِنْ عِنْدِ إِنْسَانٍ وَلَا عُلِّمْتُهُ. بَلْ بِإِعْلَانِ يَسُوعَ ٱلْمَسِيحِ. | |
| ܫܡܥܬܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܗܘܦܟܝ ܕܡܢ ܩܕܝܡ ܕܒܝܗܘܕܝܘܬܐ ܕܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܪܕܦ ܗܘܝܬ ܥܕܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܘܚܪܒ ܗܘܝܬ ܠܗ | Ἠκούσατε γὰρ τὴν ἐμὴν ἀναστροφήν ποτε ἐν τῷ Ἰουδαϊσμῷ, ὅτι καθ’ ὑπερβολὴν ἐδίωκον τὴν ἐκκλησίαν τοῦ Θεοῦ καὶ ἐπόρθουν αὐτήν, | 13 | For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it: | فَإِنَّكُمْ سَمِعْتُمْ بِسِيرَتِي قَبْلًا فِي ٱلدِّيَانَةِ ٱلْيَهُودِيَّةِ، أَنِّي كُنْتُ أَضْطَهِدُ كَنِيسَةَ ٱللهِ بِإِفْرَاطٍ وَأُتْلِفُهَا. | |
| ܘܡܬܝܬܪ ܗܘܝܬ ܒܝܗܘܕܝܘܬܐ ܛܒ ܡܢ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܒܢܝ ܫܢܝ ܕܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܒܛܘܗܡܝ ܘܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܛܐܢ ܗܘܝܬ ܒܝܘܠܦܢܐ ܕܐܒܗܝ | καὶ προέκοπτον ἐν τῷ Ἰουδαϊσμῷ ὑπὲρ πολλοὺς συνηλικιώτας ἐν τῷ γένει μου, περισσοτέρως ζηλωτὴς ὑπάρχων τῶν πατρικῶν μου παραδόσεων. | 14 | And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers. {equals: Gr. equals in years} | وَكُنْتُ أَتَقَدَّمُ فِي ٱلدِّيَانَةِ ٱلْيَهُودِيَّةِ عَلَى كَثِيرِينَ مِنْ أَتْرَابِي فِي جِنْسِي، إِذْ كُنْتُ أَوْفَرَ غَيْرَةً فِي تَقْلِيدَاتِ آبَائِي. | |
| ܟܕ ܨܒܐ ܕܝܢ ܗܘ ܡܢ ܕܦܪܫܢܝ ܡܢ ܟܪܣ ܐܡܝ ܘܩܪܢܝ ܒܛܝܒܘܬܗ | Ὅτε δὲ εὐδόκησεν ὁ ἀφορίσας με ἐκ κοιλίας μητρός μου καὶ καλέσας διὰ τῆς χάριτος αὐτοῦ | 15 | But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called {me} by his grace, | وَلَكِنْ لَمَّا سَرَّ ٱللهَ ٱلَّذِي أَفْرَزَنِي مِنْ بَطْنِ أُمِّي، وَدَعَانِي بِنِعْمَتِهِ، | |
| ܕܢܓܠܐ ܒܪܗ ܒܝ ܕܐܣܒܪܝܘܗܝ ܒܥܡܡܐ ܒܪ ܫܥܬܗ ܠܐ ܓܠܝܬ ܠܒܣܪܐ ܘܠܕܡܐ | ἀποκαλύψαι τὸν Υἱὸν αὐτοῦ ἐν ἐμοὶ, ἵνα εὐαγγελίζωμαι αὐτὸν ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν, εὐθέως οὐ προσανεθέμην σαρκὶ καὶ αἵματι, | 16 | To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: | أَنْ يُعْلِنَ ٱبْنَهُ فِيَّ لِأُبَشِّرَ بِهِ بَيْنَ ٱلْأُمَمِ، لِلْوَقْتِ لَمْ أَسْتَشِرْ لَحْمًا وَدَمًا، | |
| ܘܠܐ ܐܙܠܬ ܠܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܠܘܬ ܫܠܝܚܐ ܕܡܢ ܩܕܡܝ ܐܠܐ ܐܙܠܬ ܠܐܪܒܝܐ ܘܬܘܒ ܗܦܟܬ ܠܕܪܡܣܘܩ | οὐδὲ ἀνῆλθον εἰς Ἱεροσόλυμα πρὸς τοὺς πρὸ ἐμοῦ ἀποστόλους, ἀλλὰ ἀπῆλθον εἰς Ἀραβίαν, καὶ πάλιν ὑπέστρεψα εἰς Δαμασκόν. | 17 | Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus. | وَلَا صَعِدْتُ إِلَى أُورُشَلِيمَ، إِلَى ٱلرُّسُلِ ٱلَّذِينَ قَبْلِي، بَلِ ٱنْطَلَقْتُ إِلَى ٱلْعَرَبِيَّةِ، ثُمَّ رَجَعْتُ أَيْضًا إِلَى دِمَشْقَ. | |
| ܘܡܢ ܒܬܪ ܬܠܬ ܫܢܝܢ ܐܙܠܬ ܠܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܕܐܚܙܐ ܠܟܐܦܐ ܘܩܘܝܬ ܠܘܬܗ ܝܘܡܬܐ ܚܡܫܬܥܣܪ | Ἔπειτα μετὰ τρία ἔτη ἀνῆλθον εἰς Ἱεροσόλυμα ἱστορῆσαι Κηφᾶν, καὶ ἐπέμεινα πρὸς αὐτὸν ἡμέρας δεκαπέντε· | 18 | Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days. {went up: or, returned} | ثُمَّ بَعْدَ ثَلَاثِ سِنِينَ صَعِدْتُ إِلَى أُورُشَلِيمَ لِأَتَعَرَّفَ بِبُطْرُسَ، فَمَكَثْتُ عِنْدَهُ خَمْسَةَ عَشَرَ يَوْمًا. | |
| ܠܐܚܪܝܢ ܕܝܢ ܡܢ ܫܠܝܚܐ ܠܐ ܚܙܝܬ ܐܠܐ ܐܢ ܠܝܥܩܘܒ ܐܚܘܗܝ ܕܡܪܢ | ἕτερον δὲ τῶν ἀποστόλων οὐκ εἶδον, εἰ μὴ Ἰάκωβον τὸν ἀδελφὸν τοῦ Κυρίου. | 19 | But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother. | وَلَكِنَّنِي لَمْ أَرَ غَيْرَهُ مِنَ ٱلرُّسُلِ إِلَّا يَعْقُوبَ أَخَا ٱلرَّبِّ. | |
| ܗܠܝܢ ܕܝܢ ܕܟܬܒ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܗܐ ܩܕܡ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܠܐ ܡܟܕܒ ܐܢܐ | ἃ δὲ γράφω ὑμῖν, ἰδοὺ ἐνώπιον τοῦ Θεοῦ ὅτι οὐ ψεύδομαι. | 20 | Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not. | وَٱلَّذِي أَكْتُبُ بِهِ إِلَيْكُمْ هُوَذَا قُدَّامَ ٱللهِ أَنِّي لَسْتُ أَكْذِبُ فِيهِ. | |
| ܡܢ ܒܬܪ ܗܠܝܢ ܐܬܝܬ ܠܐܬܪܘܬܐ ܕܣܘܪܝܐ ܘܕܩܝܠܝܩܝܐ | ἔπειτα ἦλθον εἰς τὰ κλίματα τῆς Συρίας καὶ τῆς Κιλικίας. | 21 | Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia; | وَبَعْدَ ذَلِكَ جِئْتُ إِلَى أَقَالِيمِ سُورِيَّةَ وَكِيلِيكِيَّةَ. | |
| ܘܠܐ ܝܕܥܢ ܗܘܝ ܠܝ ܒܐܦܝܢ ܥܕܬܐ ܕܒܝܗܘܕ ܗܠܝܢ ܕܒܡܫܝܚܐ | ἤμην δὲ ἀγνοούμενος τῷ προσώπῳ ταῖς ἐκκλησίαις τῆς Ἰουδαίας ταῖς ἐν Χριστῷ. | 22 | And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ: | وَلَكِنَّنِي كُنْتُ غَيْرَ مَعْرُوفٍ بِٱلْوَجْهِ عِنْدَ كَنَائِسِ ٱلْيَهُودِيَّةِ ٱلَّتِي فِي ٱلْمَسِيحِ. | |
| ܐܠܐ ܗܕܐ ܒܠܚܘܕ ܫܡܥܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܕܗܘ ܕܡܢ ܩܕܝܡ ܪܕܦ ܗܘܐ ܠܢ ܗܫܐ ܗܐ ܡܣܒܪ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܗܝ ܕܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܙܒܢܐ ܡܣܚܦ ܗܘܐ | μόνον δὲ ἀκούοντες ἦσαν ὅτι Ὁ διώκων ἡμᾶς ποτε νῦν εὐαγγελίζεται τὴν πίστιν ἥν ποτε ἐπόρθει, | 23 | But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed. | غَيْرَ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يَسْمَعُونَ: «أَنَّ ٱلَّذِي كَانَ يَضْطَهِدُنَا قَبْلًا، يُبَشِّرُ ٱلْآنَ بِٱلْإِيمَانِ ٱلَّذِي كَانَ قَبْلًا يُتْلِفُهُ». | |
| ܘܡܫܒܚܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܒܝ ܠܐܠܗܐ | καὶ ἐδόξαζον ἐν ἐμοὶ τὸν Θεόν. | 24 | And they glorified God in me. | فَكَانُوا يُمَجِّدُونَ ٱللهَ فِيَّ. |

| ܬܘܒ ܕܝܢ ܡܢ ܒܬܪ ܐܪܒܥܣܪܐ ܫܢܝܢ ܣܠܩܬ ܠܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܥܡ ܒܪܢܒܐ ܘܕܒܪܬ ܥܡܝ ܠܛܛܘܣ | Ἔπειτα διὰ δεκατεσσάρων ἐτῶν πάλιν ἀνέβην εἰς Ἱεροσόλυμα μετὰ Βαρνάβα συνπαραλαβὼν καὶ Τίτον· | 1 | Then fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with {me} also. | ثُمَّ بَعْدَ أَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً صَعِدْتُ أَيْضًا إِلَى أُورُشَلِيمَ مَعَ بَرْنَابَا، آخِذًا مَعِي تِيطُسَ أَيْضًا. | |
| ܣܠܩܬ ܕܝܢ ܒܓܠܝܢܐ ܘܓܠܝܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܣܒܪܬܐ ܕܡܟܪܙ ܐܢܐ ܒܥܡܡܐ ܘܚܘܝܬܗ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܣܬܒܪܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܕܡܕܡ ܐܝܬܝܗܘܢ ܒܝܢܝ ܘܠܗܘܢ ܕܡ ܣܪܝܩܐܝܬ ܪܗܛܬ ܐܘ ܪܗܛ ܐܢܐ | ἀνέβην δὲ κατὰ ἀποκάλυψιν· καὶ ἀνεθέμην αὐτοῖς τὸ εὐαγγέλιον ὃ κηρύσσω ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν, κατ’ ἰδίαν δὲ τοῖς δοκοῦσιν, μή πως εἰς κενὸν τρέχω ἢ ἔδραμον. | 2 | And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain. {privately: or, severally} | وَإِنَّمَا صَعِدْتُ بِمُوجَبِ إِعْلَانٍ، وَعَرَضْتُ عَلَيْهِمِ ٱلْإِنْجِيلَ ٱلَّذِي أَكْرِزُ بِهِ بَيْنَ ٱلْأُمَمِ، وَلَكِنْ بِٱلِٱنْفِرَادِ عَلَى ٱلْمُعْتَبَرِينَ، لِئَلَّا أَكُونَ أَسْعَى أَوْ قَدْ سَعَيْتُ بَاطِلًا. | |
| ܐܦ ܛܛܘܣ ܕܥܡܝ ܕܐܪܡܝܐ ܗܘܐ ܠܐ ܐܬܐܢܣ ܕܢܓܙܘܪ | ἀλλ’ οὐδὲ Τίτος ὁ σὺν ἐμοί, Ἕλλην ὤν, ἠναγκάσθη περιτμηθῆναι· | 3 | But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised: | لَكِنْ لَمْ يُضْطَرَّ وَلَا تِيطُسُ ٱلَّذِي كَانَ مَعِي، وَهُوَ يُونَانِيٌّ، أَنْ يَخْتَتِنَ. | |
| ܡܛܠ ܕܝܢ ܐܚܐ ܕܓܠܐ ܕܥܠܘ ܥܠܝܢ ܕܢܓܫܘܢ ܚܐܪܘܬܐ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܢ ܒܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܢܫܥܒܕܘܢܢܝ | διὰ δὲ τοὺς παρεισάκτους ψευδαδέλφους, οἵτινες παρεισῆλθον κατασκοπῆσαι τὴν ἐλευθερίαν ἡμῶν ἣν ἔχομεν ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ, ἵνα ἡμᾶς καταδουλώσουσιν· | 4 | And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage: | وَلَكِنْ بِسَبَبِ ٱلْإِخْوَةِ ٱلْكَذَبَةِ ٱلْمُدْخَلِينَ خُفْيَةً، ٱلَّذِينَ دَخَلُوا ٱخْتِلَاسًا لِيَتَجَسَّسُوا حُرِّيَّتَنَا ٱلَّتِي لَنَا فِي ٱلْمَسِيحِ كَيْ يَسْتَعْبِدُونَا، | |
| ܐܦܠܐ ܡܠܐ ܫܥܐ ܐܬܪܡܝܢ ܠܫܘܥܒܕܗܘܢ ܕܫܪܪܗ ܕܣܒܪܬܐ ܢܩܘܐ ܠܘܬܟܘܢ | οἷς οὐδὲ πρὸς ὥραν εἴξαμεν τῇ ὑποταγῇ, ἵνα ἡ ἀλήθεια τοῦ εὐαγγελίου διαμείνῃ πρὸς ὑμᾶς. | 5 | To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you. | الَّذِينَ لَمْ نُذْعِنْ لَهُمْ بِٱلْخُضُوعِ وَلَا سَاعَةً، لِيَبْقَى عِنْدَكُمْ حَقُّ ٱلْإِنْجِيلِ. | |
| ܗܢܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܕܡܣܬܒܪܝܢ ܕܐܝܬܝܗܘܢ ܡܕܡ ܡܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܝܬܝܗܘܢ ܠܐ ܒܛܝܠ ܠܝ ܐܠܗܐ ܓܝܪ ܒܐܦܝ ܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܠܐ ܢܣܒ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܡܕܡ ܠܐ ܐܘܣܦܘ ܠܝ | ἀπὸ δὲ τῶν δοκούντων εἶναί τι, — ὁποῖοί ποτε ἦσαν οὐδέν μοι διαφέρει· πρόσωπον ὁ Θεὸς ἀνθρώπου οὐ λαμβάνει — ἐμοὶ γὰρ οἱ δοκοῦντες οὐδὲν προσανέθεντο, | 6 | But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me: God accepteth no man's person:) for they who seemed {to be somewhat} in conference added nothing to me: | وَأَمَّا ٱلْمُعْتَبَرُونَ أَنَّهُمْ شَيْءٌ \- مَهْمَا كَانُوا، لَا فَرْقَ عِنْدِي، ٱللهُ لَا يَأْخُذُ بِوَجْهِ إِنْسَانٍ \- فَإِنَّ هَؤُلَاءِ ٱلْمُعْتَبَرِينَ لَمْ يُشِيرُوا عَلَيَّ بِشَيْءٍ. | |
| ܐܠܐ ܐܚܪܢܝܐܝܬ ܚܙܘ ܓܝܪ ܕܐܬܗܝܡܢܬ ܣܒܪܬܐ ܕܥܘܪܠܘܬܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܐܬܗܝܡܢ ܟܐܦܐ ܒܓܙܘܪܬܐ | ἀλλὰ τοὐναντίον ἰδόντες ὅτι πεπίστευμαι τὸ εὐαγγέλιον τῆς ἀκροβυστίας καθὼς Πέτρος τῆς περιτομῆς, | 7 | But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as {the gospel} of the circumcision {was} unto Peter; | بَلْ بِٱلْعَكْسِ، إِذْ رَأَوْا أَنِّي ٱؤْتُمِنْتُ عَلَى إِنْجِيلِ ٱلْغُرْلَةِ كَمَا بُطْرُسُ عَلَى إِنْجِيلِ ٱلْخِتَانِ. | |
| ܗܘ ܓܝܪ ܕܚܦܛ ܠܟܐܦܐ ܒܫܠܝܚܘܬܐ ܕܓܙܘܪܬܐ ܚܦܛ ܐܦ ܠܝ ܒܫܠܝܚܘܬܐ ܕܥܡܡܐ | ὁ γὰρ ἐνεργήσας Πέτρῳ εἰς ἀποστολὴν τῆς περιτομῆς ἐνήργησεν καὶ ἐμοὶ εἰς τὰ ἔθνη, | 8 | (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:) | فَإِنَّ ٱلَّذِي عَمِلَ فِي بُطْرُسَ لِرِسَالَةِ ٱلْخِتَانِ عَمِلَ فِيَّ أَيْضًا لِلْأُمَمِ. | |

| ܒܠܚܘܕ ܕܠܡܣܟܢܐ ܗܘܝܢ ܥܗܕܝܢܢ ܘܐܬܒܛܠ ܠܝ ܕܗܝ ܗܕܐ ܐܥܒܕܝܗ | μόνον τῶν πτωχῶν ἵνα μνημονεύωμεν, ὃ καὶ ἐσπούδασα αὐτὸ τοῦτο ποιῆσαι. | 10 | Only {they would} that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do. | غَيْرَ أَنْ نَذْكُرَ ٱلْفُقَرَاءَ. وَهَذَا عَيْنُهُ كُنْتُ ٱعْتَنَيْتُ أَنْ أَفْعَلَهُ. | |
| ܟܕ ܐܬܐ ܕܝܢ ܟܐܦܐ ܠܐܢܛܝܘܟܝ ܒܐܦܘܗܝ ܐܟܣܬܗ ܡܛܠ ܕܡܬܬܩܠܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܒܗ | Ὅτε δὲ ἦλθεν Κηφᾶς εἰς Ἀντιόχειαν, κατὰ πρόσωπον αὐτῷ ἀντέστην, ὅτι κατεγνωσμένος ἦν. | 11 | But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed. | وَلَكِنْ لَمَّا أَتَى بُطْرُسُ إِلَى أَنْطَاكِيَةَ قَاوَمْتُهُ مُواجَهَةً، لِأَنَّهُ كَانَ مَلُومًا. | |
| ܕܥܕܠܐ ܢܐܬܘܢ ܐܢܫܐ ܡܢ ܠܘܬ ܝܥܩܘܒ ܥܡ ܥܡܡܐ ܐܟܠ ܗܘܐ ܟܕ ܐܬܘ ܕܝܢ ܢܓܕ ܗܘܐ ܢܦܫܗ ܘܦܪܫ ܡܛܠ ܕܕܚܠ ܗܘܐ ܡܢ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܡܢ ܓܙܘܪܬܐ | πρὸ τοῦ γὰρ ἐλθεῖν τινας ἀπὸ Ἰακώβου μετὰ τῶν ἐθνῶν συνήσθιεν· ὅτε δὲ ἦλθον, ὑπέστελλεν καὶ ἀφώριζεν ἑαυτόν, φοβούμενος τοὺς ἐκ περιτομῆς. | 12 | For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision. | لِأَنَّهُ قَبْلَمَا أَتَى قَوْمٌ مِنْ عِنْدِ يَعْقُوبَ كَانَ يَأْكُلُ مَعَ ٱلْأُمَمِ، وَلَكِنْ لَمَّا أَتَوْا كَانَ يُؤَخِّرُ وَيُفْرِزُ نَفْسَهُ، خَائِفًا مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ مِنَ ٱلْخِتَانِ. | |
| ܘܐܬܪܡܝܘ ܗܘܘ ܥܡܗ ܠܗܕܐ ܐܦ ܫܪܟܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܝܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܕܐܦ ܒܪܢܒܐ ܐܬܕܒܪ ܗܘܐ ܠܡܣܒ ܒܐܦܝܗܘܢ | καὶ συνυπεκρίθησαν αὐτῷ καὶ οἱ λοιποὶ Ἰουδαῖοι, ὥστε καὶ Βαρνάβας συναπήχθη αὐτῶν τῇ ὑποκρίσει. | 13 | And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation. | وَرَاءَى مَعَهُ بَاقِي ٱلْيَهُودِ أَيْضًا، حَتَّى إِنَّ بَرْنَابَا أَيْضًا ٱنْقَادَ إِلَى رِيَائِهِمْ! | |
| ܘܟܕ ܚܙܝܬ ܕܠܐ ܐܙܠܝܢ ܬܪܝܨܐܝܬ ܒܫܪܪܗ ܕܐܘܢܓܠܝܘܢ ܐܡܪܬ ܠܟܐܦܐ ܠܥܝܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܐܢ ܐܢܬ ܕܝܗܘܕܝܐ ܐܢܬ ܐܪܡܐܝܬ ܚܝܐ ܐܢܬ ܘܠܐ ܝܗܘܕܐܝܬ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܐܠܨ ܐܢܬ ܠܥܡܡܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐܝܬ ܢܚܘܢ | ἀλλ’ ὅτε εἶδον ὅτι οὐκ ὀρθοποδοῦσιν πρὸς τὴν ἀλήθειαν τοῦ εὐαγγελίου, εἶπον τῷ Κηφᾷ ἔμπροσθεν πάντων Εἰ σὺ Ἰουδαῖος ὑπάρχων ἐθνικῶς καὶ οὐκ Ἰουδαϊκῶς ζῇς, πῶς τὰ ἔθνη ἀναγκάζεις ἰουδαΐζειν; | 14 | But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before {them} all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews? | لَكِنْ لَمَّا رَأَيْتُ أَنَّهُمْ لَا يَسْلُكُونَ بِٱسْتِقَامَةٍ حَسَبَ حَقِّ ٱلْإِنْجِيلِ، قُلْتُ لِبُطْرُسَ قُدَّامَ ٱلْجَمِيعِ: «إِنْ كُنْتَ وَأَنْتَ يَهُودِيٌّ تَعِيشُ أُمَمِيًّا لَا يَهُودِيًّا، فَلِمَاذَا تُلْزِمُ ٱلْأُمَمَ أَنْ يَتَهَوَّدُوا؟» | |
| ܚܢܢ ܓܝܪ ܕܡܢ ܟܝܢܢ ܝܗܘܕܝܐ ܚܢܢ ܘܠܐ ܗܘܝܢ ܡܢ ܥܡܡܐ ܚܛܝܐ | Ἡμεῖς φύσει Ἰουδαῖοι καὶ οὐκ ἐξ ἐθνῶν ἁμαρτωλοί, | 15 | We {who are} Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, | نَحْنُ بِٱلطَّبِيعَةِ يَهُودٌ وَلَسْنَا مِنَ ٱلْأُمَمِ خُطَاةً، | |
| ܡܛܠ ܕܝܕܥܝܢܢ ܕܠܐ ܡܙܕܕܩ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܡܢ ܥܒܕܐ ܕܢܡܘܣܐ ܐܠܐ ܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܕܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܐܦ ܚܢܢ ܒܗ ܒܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܗܝܡܢܢ ܕܡܢ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܗ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܢܙܕܕܩ ܘܠܐ ܡܢ ܥܒܕܐ ܕܢܡܘܣܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܡܢ ܥܒܕܐ ܕܢܡܘܣܐ ܠܐ ܡܙܕܕܩ ܟܠ ܒܣܪ | εἰδότες δὲ ὅτι οὐ δικαιοῦται ἄνθρωπος ἐξ ἔργων νόμου ἐὰν μὴ διὰ πίστεως Χριστοῦ Ἰησοῦ, καὶ ἡμεῖς εἰς Χριστὸν Ἰησοῦν ἐπιστεύσαμεν, ἵνα δικαιωθῶμεν ἐκ πίστεως Χριστοῦ καὶ οὐκ ἐξ ἔργων νόμου, ὅτι ἐξ ἔργων νόμου οὐ δικαιωθήσεται πᾶσα σάρξ. | 16 | Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. | إِذْ نَعْلَمُ أَنَّ ٱلْإِنْسَانَ لَا يَتَبَرَّرُ بِأَعْمَالِ ٱلنَّامُوسِ، بَلْ بِإِيمَانِ يَسُوعَ ٱلْمَسِيحِ، آمَنَّا نَحْنُ أَيْضًا بِيَسُوعَ ٱلْمَسِيحِ، لِنَتَبَرَّرَ بِإِيمَانِ يَسُوعَ لَا بِأَعْمَالِ ٱلنَّامُوسِ. لِأَنَّهُ بِأَعْمَالِ ٱلنَّامُوسِ لَا يَتَبَرَّرُ جَسَدٌ مَا. | |
| ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܟܕ ܒܥܝܢܢ ܕܢܙܕܕܩ ܒܡܫܝܚܐ ܐܫܬܟܚܢ ܠܢ ܐܦ ܚܢܢ ܚܛܝܐ ܡܕܝܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܡܫܡܫܢܐ ܗܘ ܕܚܛܝܬܐ ܚܣ | εἰ δὲ ζητοῦντες δικαιωθῆναι ἐν Χριστῷ εὑρέθημεν καὶ αὐτοὶ ἁμαρτωλοί, ἆρα Χριστὸς ἁμαρτίας διάκονος; μὴ γένοιτο. | 17 | But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, {is} therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid. | فَإِنْ كُنَّا وَنَحْنُ طَالِبُونَ أَنْ نَتَبَرَّرَ فِي ٱلْمَسِيحِ، نُوجَدُ نَحْنُ أَنْفُسُنَا أَيْضًا خُطَاةً، أَفَٱلْمَسِيحُ خَادِمٌ لِلْخَطِيَّةِ؟ حَاشَا! | |
| ܐܢ ܓܝܪ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܣܬܪܬ ܬܘܒ ܠܗܝܢ ܒܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܚܘܝܬ ܥܠ ܢܦܫܝ ܕܥܒܪ ܥܠ ܦܘܩܕܢܐ ܐܢܐ | εἰ γὰρ ἃ κατέλυσα ταῦτα πάλιν οἰκοδομῶ, παραβάτην ἐμαυτὸν συνιστάνω. | 18 | For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. | فَإِنِّي إِنْ كُنْتُ أَبْنِي أَيْضًا هَذَا ٱلَّذِي قَدْ هَدَمْتُهُ، فَإِنِّي أُظْهِرُ نَفْسِي مُتَعَدِّيًا. | |
| ܐܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܒܢܡܘܣܐ ܠܢܡܘܣܐ ܡܝܬܬ ܕܠܐܠܗܐ ܐܚܐ | ἐγὼ γὰρ διὰ νόμου νόμῳ ἀπέθανον ἵνα Θεῷ ζήσω· Χριστῷ συνεσταύρωμαι· | 19 | For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. | لِأَنِّي مُتُّ بِٱلنَّامُوسِ لِلنَّامُوسِ لِأَحْيَا لِلهِ. | |

| ܠܐ ܛܠܡ ܐܢܐ ܛܝܒܘܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܐܢ ܓܝܪ ܒܝܕ ܢܡܘܣܐ ܗܝ ܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܡܓܢ ܡܝܬ | Οὐκ ἀθετῶ τὴν χάριν τοῦ Θεοῦ· εἰ γὰρ διὰ νόμου δικαιοσύνη, ἄρα Χριστὸς δωρεὰν ἀπέθανεν. | 21 | I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness {come} by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. | لَسْتُ أُبْطِلُ نِعْمَةَ ٱللهِ. لِأَنَّهُ إِنْ كَانَ بِٱلنَّامُوسِ بِرٌّ، فَٱلْمَسِيحُ إِذًا مَاتَ بِلَا سَبَبٍ! |

| ܐܘ ܚܣܝܪܝ ܪܥܝܢܐ ܓܠܛܝܐ ܡܢܘ ܚܣܡ ܒܟܘܢ ܕܗܐ ܐܝܟ ܗܘ ܕܡܨܪ ܨܝܪ ܗܘܐ ܩܕܡ ܥܝܢܝܟܘܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܟܕ ܨܠܝܒ | Ὦ ἀνόητοι Γαλάται, τίς ὑμᾶς ἐβάσκανεν, οἷς κατ’ ὀφθαλμοὺς Ἰησοῦς Χριστὸς προεγράφη ἐσταυρωμένος; | 1 | O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? | أَيُّهَا ٱلْغَلَاطِيُّونَ ٱلْأَغْبِيَاءُ، مَنْ رَقَاكُمْ حَتَّى لَا تُذْعِنُوا لِلْحَقِّ؟ أَنْتُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ أَمَامَ عُيُونِكُمْ قَدْ رُسِمَ يَسُوعُ ٱلْمَسِيحُ بَيْنَكُمْ مَصْلُوبًا! | |
| ܗܕܐ ܒܠܚܘܕ ܨܒܐ ܐܢܐ ܕܐܕܥ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܡܢ ܥܒܕܐ ܕܢܡܘܣܐ ܢܣܒܬܘܢ ܪܘܚܐ ܐܘ ܡܢ ܫܡܥܐ ܕܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ | τοῦτο μόνον θέλω μαθεῖν ἀφ’ ὑμῶν, ἐξ ἔργων νόμου τὸ Πνεῦμα ἐλάβετε ἢ ἐξ ἀκοῆς πίστεως; | 2 | This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? | أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَتَعَلَّمَ مِنْكُمْ هَذَا فَقَطْ: أَبِأَعْمَالِ ٱلنَّامُوسِ أَخَذْتُمُ ٱلرُّوحَ أَمْ بِخَبَرِ ٱلْإِيمَانِ؟ | |
| ܗܟܢܐ ܣܟܠܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܫܪܝܬܘܢ ܒܪܘܚܐ ܘܗܫܐ ܒܒܣܪ ܡܫܠܡܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ | οὕτως ἀνόητοί ἐστε; ἐναρξάμενοι Πνεύματι νῦν σαρκὶ ἐπιτελεῖσθε; | 3 | Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? | أَهَكَذَا أَنْتُمْ أَغْبِيَاءُ! أَبَعْدَمَا ٱبْتَدَأْتُمْ بِٱلرُّوحِ تُكَمَّلُونَ ٱلْآنَ بِٱلْجَسَدِ؟ | |
| ܗܠܝܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܐܝܩܐ ܣܝܒܪܬܘܢ ܘܐܫܬܘܦ ܕܝܢ ܐܝܩܐ | τοσαῦτα ἐπάθετε εἰκῇ; εἴ γε καὶ εἰκῇ. | 4 | Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if {it be} yet in vain. {so many: or, so great} | أَهَذَا ٱلْمِقْدَارَ ٱحْتَمَلْتُمْ عَبَثًا؟ إِنْ كَانَ عَبَثًا! | |
| ܗܘ ܗܟܝܠ ܕܝܗܒ ܒܟܘܢ ܪܘܚܐ ܘܣܥܪ ܒܟܘܢ ܚܝܠܐ ܡܢ ܥܒܕܐ ܕܢܡܘܣܐ ܐܘ ܡܢ ܫܡܥܐ ܕܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ | ὁ οὖν ἐπιχορηγῶν ὑμῖν τὸ Πνεῦμα καὶ ἐνεργῶν δυνάμεις ἐν ὑμῖν, ἐξ ἔργων νόμου ἢ ἐξ ἀκοῆς πίστεως; | 5 | He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, {doeth he it} by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? | فَٱلَّذِي يَمْنَحُكُمُ ٱلرُّوحَ، وَيَعْمَلُ قُوَّاتٍ فِيكُمْ، أَبِأَعْمَالِ ٱلنَّامُوسِ أَمْ بِخَبَرِ ٱلْإِيمَانِ؟ | |
| ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܗܝܡܢ ܐܒܪܗܡ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܘܐܬܚܫܒܬ ܠܗ ܠܙܕܝܩܘ | καθὼς Ἀβραὰμ ἐπίστευσεν τῷ Θεῷ, καὶ ἐλογίσθη αὐτῷ εἰς δικαιοσύνην. | 6 | Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. {accounted: or, imputed} | كَمَا «آمَنَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بِٱللهِ فَحُسِبَ لَهُ بِرًّا». | |
| ܕܥܘ ܗܟܝܠ ܕܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܢ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܗܢܘܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܢܝܐ ܕܐܒܪܗܡ | Γινώσκετε ἄρα ὅτι οἱ ἐκ πίστεως, οὗτοι υἱοί εἰσιν Ἀβραάμ. | 7 | Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. | ٱعْلَمُوا إِذًا أَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ مِنَ ٱلْإِيمَانِ أُولَئِكَ هُمْ بَنُو إِبْرَاهِيمَ. | |
| ܡܛܠ ܓܝܪ ܕܩܕܡ ܝܕܥ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܗܘ ܡܙܕܕܩܝܢ ܥܡܡܐ ܩܕܡ ܣܒܪ ܠܐܒܪܗܡ ܐܝܟ ܕܐܡܪ ܟܬܒܐ ܩܕܝܫܐ ܕܒܟ ܢܬܒܪܟܘܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܡܡܐ | προϊδοῦσα δὲ ἡ γραφὴ ὅτι ἐκ πίστεως δικαιοῖ τὰ ἔθνη ὁ Θεὸς, προευηγγελίσατο τῷ Ἀβραὰμ ὅτι Ἐνευλογηθήσονται ἐν σοὶ πάντα τὰ ἔθνη. | 8 | And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, {saying}, In thee shall all nations be blessed. | وَٱلْكِتَابُ إِذْ سَبَقَ فَرَأَى أَنَّ ٱللهَ بِٱلْإِيمَانِ يُبَرِّرُ ٱلْأُمَمَ، سَبَقَ فَبَشَّرَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَنْ «فِيكَ تَتَبَارَكُ جَمِيعُ ٱلْأُمَمِ». | |
| ܡܕܝܢ ܡܗܝܡܢܐ ܗܘ ܡܬܒܪܟܝܢ ܒܐܒܪܗܡ ܡܗܝܡܢܐ | ὥστε οἱ ἐκ πίστεως εὐλογοῦνται σὺν τῷ πιστῷ Ἀβραάμ. | 9 | So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. | إِذًا ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ مِنَ ٱلْإِيمَانِ يَتَبَارَكُونَ مَعَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِ. | |
| ܐܝܠܝܢ ܓܝܪ ܕܡܢ ܥܒܕܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܕܢܡܘܣܐ ܬܚܝܬ ܠܘܛܬܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܟܬܝܒ ܓܝܪ ܕܠܝܛ ܗܘ ܟܠܡܢ ܕܠܐ ܢܥܒܕ ܟܠ ܕܟܬܝܒ ܒܢܡܘܣܐ ܗܢܐ | Ὅσοι γὰρ ἐξ ἔργων νόμου εἰσὶν, ὑπὸ κατάραν εἰσίν, γέγραπται γὰρ ὅτι Ἐπικατάρατος πᾶς ὃς οὐκ ἐμμένει πᾶσιν τοῖς γεγραμμένοις ἐν τῷ βιβλίῳ τοῦ νόμου τοῦ ποιῆσαι αὐτά. | 10 | For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed {is} every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. | لِأَنَّ جَمِيعَ ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ مِنْ أَعْمَالِ ٱلنَّامُوسِ هُمْ تَحْتَ لَعْنَةٍ، لِأَنَّهُ مَكْتُوبٌ: «مَلْعُونٌ كُلُّ مَنْ لَا يَثْبُتُ فِي جَمِيعِ مَا هُوَ مَكْتُوبٌ فِي كِتَابِ ٱلنَّامُوسِ لِيَعْمَلَ بِهِ». | |
| ܕܠܐ ܕܝܢ ܡܙܕܕܩ ܐܢܫ ܒܢܡܘܣܐ ܠܘܬ ܐܠܗܐ ܗܕܐ ܓܠܝܐ ܗܝ ܡܛܠ ܕܟܬܝܒ ܕܙܕܝܩܐ ܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܢܚܐ | ὅτι δὲ ἐν νόμῳ οὐδεὶς δικαιοῦται παρὰ τῷ Θεῷ δῆλον, ὅτι Ὁ δίκαιος ἐκ πίστεως ζήσεται· | 11 | But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, {it is} evident: for, The just shall live by faith. | وَلَكِنْ أَنْ لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ يَتَبَرَّرُ بِٱلنَّامُوسِ عِنْدَ ٱللهِ فَظَاهِرٌ، لِأَنَّ «ٱلْبَارَّ بِٱلْإِيمَانِ يَحْيَا». | |
| ܢܡܘܣܐ ܕܝܢ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܡܢ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܐܠܐ ܡܢ ܕܢܥܒܕ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܟܬܝܒܢ ܒܗ ܢܚܐ ܒܗܝܢ | ὁ δὲ νόμος οὐκ ἔστιν ἐκ πίστεως, ἀλλ’ Ὁ ποιήσας αὐτὰ ζήσεται ἐν αὐτοῖς. | 12 | And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. | وَلَكِنَّ ٱلنَّامُوسَ لَيْسَ مِنَ ٱلْإِيمَانِ، بَلِ «ٱلْإِنْسَانُ ٱلَّذِي يَفْعَلُهَا سَيَحْيَا بِهَا». | |
| ܠܢ ܕܝܢ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܙܒܢܢ ܡܢ ܠܘܛܬܐ ܕܢܡܘܣܐ ܘܗܘ ܗܘܐ ܚܠܦܝܢ ܠܘܛܬܐ ܟܬܝܒ ܓܝܪ ܕܠܝܛ ܗܘ ܟܠܡܢ ܕܡܬܬܠܐ ܒܩܝܣܐ | Χριστὸς ἡμᾶς ἐξηγόρασεν ἐκ τῆς κατάρας τοῦ νόμου γενόμενος ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν κατάρα, ὅτι γέγραπται Ἐπικατάρατος πᾶς ὁ κρεμάμενος ἐπὶ ξύλου, | 13 | Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed {is} every one that hangeth on a tree: | اَلْمَسِيحُ ٱفْتَدَانَا مِنْ لَعْنَةِ ٱلنَّامُوسِ، إِذْ صَارَ لَعْنَةً لِأَجْلِنَا، لِأَنَّهُ مَكْتُوبٌ: «مَلْعُونٌ كُلُّ مَنْ عُلِّقَ عَلَى خَشَبَةٍ». | |
| ܕܒܥܡܡܐ ܬܗܘܐ ܒܘܪܟܬܗ ܕܐܒܪܗܡ ܒܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܘܚܢܢ ܢܣܒ ܫܘܘܕܝܐ ܕܪܘܚܐ ܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ | ἵνα εἰς τὰ ἔθνη ἡ εὐλογία τοῦ Ἀβραὰμ γένηται ἐν Ἰησοῦ Χριστῷ, ἵνα τὴν ἐπαγγελίαν τοῦ Πνεύματος λάβωμεν διὰ τῆς πίστεως. | 14 | That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. | لِتَصِيرَ بَرَكَةُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ لِلْأُمَمِ فِي ٱلْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ، لِنَنَالَ بِٱلْإِيمَانِ مَوْعِدَ ٱلرُّوحِ. | |
| ܐܚܝ ܐܝܟ ܕܒܝܬ ܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܕܕܝܬܩܐ ܕܒܪܢܫܐ ܕܐܫܬܪܪܬ ܐܢܫ ܠܐ ܡܣܠܐ ܐܘ ܡܫܚܠܦ ܒܗ ܡܕܡ | Ἀδελφοί, κατὰ ἄνθρωπον λέγω. ὅμως ἀνθρώπου κεκυρωμένην διαθήκην οὐδεὶς ἀθετεῖ ἢ ἐπιδιατάσσεται. | 15 | Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though {it be} but a man's covenant, yet {if it be} confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto. {covenant: or, testament} | أَيُّهَا ٱلْإِخْوَةُ، بِحَسَبِ ٱلْإِنْسَانِ أَقُولُ: لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ يُبْطِلُ عَهْدًا قَدْ تَمَكَّنَ وَلَوْ مِنْ إِنْسَانٍ، أَوْ يَزِيدُ عَلَيْهِ. | |
| ܠܐܒܪܗܡ ܕܝܢ ܐܬܡܠܟ ܡܘܠܟܢܐ ܘܠܙܪܥܗ ܘܠܐ ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܕܠܙܪܥܝܟ ܐܝܟ ܕܠܣܓܝܐܐ ܐܠܐ ܠܙܪܥܟ ܐܝܟ ܕܠܚܕ ܗܘ ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܡܫܝܚܐ | τῷ δὲ Ἀβραὰμ ἐρρέθησαν αἱ ἐπαγγελίαι καὶ τῷ σπέρματι αὐτοῦ. οὐ λέγει Καὶ τοῖς σπέρμασιν, ὡς ἐπὶ πολλῶν, ἀλλ’ ὡς ἐφ’ ἑνός Καὶ τῷ σπέρματί σου, ὅς ἐστιν Χριστός. | 16 | Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. | وَأَمَّا ٱلْمَوَاعِيدُ فَقِيلَتْ فِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَفِي نَسْلِهِ. لَا يَقُولُ: «وَفِي ٱلْأَنْسَالِ» كَأَنَّهُ عَنْ كَثِيرِينَ، بَلْ كَأَنَّهُ عَنْ وَاحِدٍ: «وَفِي نَسْلِكَ» ٱلَّذِي هُوَ ٱلْمَسِيحُ. | |
| ܗܕܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܕܕܝܬܩܐ ܕܡܢ ܩܕܝܡ ܐܫܬܪܪܬ ܡܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܒܡܫܝܚܐ ܢܡܘܣܐ ܗܘ ܕܗܘܐ ܡܢ ܒܬܪ ܐܪܒܥ ܡܐܐ ܘܬܠܬܝܢ ܫܢܝܢ ܠܐ ܡܫܟܚ ܕܢܣܠܝܗ ܘܢܒܛܠ ܡܘܠܟܢܐ | τοῦτο δὲ λέγω· διαθήκην προκεκυρωμένην ὑπὸ τοῦ Θεοῦ ὁ μετὰ τετρακόσια καὶ τριάκοντα ἔτη γεγονὼς νόμος οὐκ ἀκυροῖ, εἰς τὸ καταργῆσαι τὴν ἐπαγγελίαν. | 17 | And this I say, {that} the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. | وَإِنَّمَا أَقُولُ هَذَا: إِنَّ ٱلنَّامُوسَ ٱلَّذِي صَارَ بَعْدَ أَرْبَعِمِئَةٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ سَنَةً، لَا يَنْسَخُ عَهْدًا قَدْ سَبَقَ فَتَمَكَّنَ مِنَ ٱللهِ نَحْوَ ٱلْمَسِيحِ حَتَّى يُبَطِّلَ ٱلْمَوْعِدَ. | |
| ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܡܢ ܢܡܘܣܐ ܗܝ ܝܪܬܘܬܐ ܡܟܝܠ ܠܐ ܗܘܬ ܡܢ ܡܘܠܟܢܐ ܠܐܒܪܗܡ ܕܝܢ ܒܡܘܠܟܢܐ ܗܘ ܝܗܒ ܠܗ ܐܠܗܐ | εἰ γὰρ ἐκ νόμου ἡ κληρονομία, οὐκέτι ἐξ ἐπαγγελίας· τῷ δὲ Ἀβραὰμ δι’ ἐπαγγελίας κεχάρισται ὁ Θεός. | 18 | For if the inheritance {be} of the law, {it is} no more of promise: but God gave {it} to Abraham by promise. | لِأَنَّهُ إِنْ كَانَتِ ٱلْوِرَاثَةُ مِنَ ٱلنَّامُوسِ، فَلَمْ تَكُنْ أَيْضًا مِنْ مَوْعِدٍ. وَلَكِنَّ ٱللهَ وَهَبَهَا لِإِبْرَاهِيمَ بِمَوْعِدٍ. | |
| ܡܢܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܢܡܘܣܐ ܡܛܠ ܡܣܛܝܢܘܬܐ ܐܬܬܘܣܦ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܢܐܬܐ ܙܪܥܐ ܗܘ ܕܠܗ ܗܘܐ ܫܘܘܕܝܐ ܘܐܬܝܗܒ ܗܘ ܢܡܘܣܐ ܒܝܕ ܡܠܐܟܐ ܒܐܝܕܐ ܕܡܨܥܝܐ | Τί οὖν ὁ νόμος; τῶν παραβάσεων χάριν προσετέθη, ἄχρις ἂν ἔλθῃ τὸ σπέρμα ᾧ ἐπήγγελται, διαταγεὶς δι’ ἀγγέλων ἐν χειρὶ μεσίτου. | 19 | Wherefore then {serveth} the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; {and it was} ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. | فَلِمَاذَا ٱلنَّامُوسُ؟ قَدْ زِيدَ بِسَبَبِ ٱلتَّعَدِّيَاتِ، إِلَى أَنْ يَأْتِيَ ٱلنَّسْلُ ٱلَّذِي قَدْ وُعِدَ لَهُ، مُرَتَّبًا بِمَلَائِكَةٍ فِي يَدِ وَسِيطٍ. | |
| ܡܨܥܝܐ ܕܝܢ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܕܚܕ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܝܢ ܚܕ ܗܘ | ὁ δὲ μεσίτης ἑνὸς οὐκ ἔστιν, ὁ δὲ Θεὸς εἷς ἐστιν. | 20 | Now a mediator is not {a mediator} of one, but God is one. | وَأَمَّا ٱلْوَسِيطُ فَلَا يَكُونُ لِوَاحِدٍ. وَلَكِنَّ ٱللهَ وَاحِدٌ. | |
| ܢܡܘܣܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܣܩܘܒܠܐ ܗܘ ܕܡܘܠܟܢܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܚܣ ܐܠܘ ܓܝܪ ܐܬܝܗܒ ܗܘܐ ܢܡܘܣܐ ܐܝܢܐ ܕܡܫܟܚ ܗܘܐ ܠܡܚܝܘ ܫܪܝܪܐܝܬ ܡܢ ܢܡܘܣܐ ܗܘܝܐ ܗܘܬ ܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ | ὁ οὖν νόμος κατὰ τῶν ἐπαγγελιῶν τοῦ Θεοῦ; μὴ γένοιτο. εἰ γὰρ ἐδόθη νόμος ὁ δυνάμενος ζωοποιῆσαι, ὄντως ἐκ νόμου ἂν ἦν ἡ δικαιοσύνη· | 21 | {Is} the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law. | فَهَلِ ٱلنَّامُوسُ ضِدُّ مَوَاعِيدِ ٱللهِ؟ حَاشَا! لِأَنَّهُ لَوْ أُعْطِيَ نَامُوسٌ قَادِرٌ أَنْ يُحْيِيَ، لَكَانَ بِٱلْحَقِيقَةِ ٱلْبِرُّ بِٱلنَّامُوسِ. | |
| ܐܠܐ ܚܒܫ ܟܬܒܐ ܟܠܡܕܡ ܬܚܝܬ ܚܛܝܬܐ ܕܡܘܠܟܢܐ ܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܕܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܢܬܝܗܒ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܗܝܡܢܝܢ | ἀλλὰ συνέκλεισεν ἡ γραφὴ τὰ πάντα ὑπὸ ἁμαρτίαν ἵνα ἡ ἐπαγγελία ἐκ πίστεως Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ δοθῇ τοῖς πιστεύουσιν. | 22 | But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. | لَكِنَّ ٱلْكِتَابَ أَغْلَقَ عَلَى ٱلْكُلِّ تَحْتَ ٱلْخَطِيَّةِ، لِيُعْطَى ٱلْمَوْعِدُ مِنْ إِيمَانِ يَسُوعَ ٱلْمَسِيحِ لِلَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ. | |
| ܥܕܠܐ ܕܝܢ ܬܐܬܐ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܢܡܘܣܐ ܢܛܪ ܗܘܐ ܠܢ ܟܕ ܚܒܝܫܝܢܢ ܠܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܕܥܬܝܕܐ ܗܘܬ ܠܡܬܓܠܝܘ | Πρὸ τοῦ δὲ ἐλθεῖν τὴν πίστιν ὑπὸ νόμον ἐφρουρούμεθα συνκλειόμενοι εἰς τὴν μέλλουσαν πίστιν ἀποκαλυφθῆναι. | 23 | But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. | وَلَكِنْ قَبْلَمَا جَاءَ ٱلْإِيمَانُ كُنَّا مَحْرُوسِينَ تَحْتَ ٱلنَّامُوسِ، مُغْلَقًا عَلَيْنَا إِلَى ٱلْإِيمَانِ ٱلْعَتِيدِ أَنْ يُعْلَنَ. | |
| ܢܡܘܣܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܬܪܐܐ ܗܘܐ ܠܢ ܠܘܬ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܕܡܢ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܢܙܕܕܩ | ὥστε ὁ νόμος παιδαγωγὸς ἡμῶν γέγονεν εἰς Χριστόν, ἵνα ἐκ πίστεως δικαιωθῶμεν· | 24 | Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster {to bring us} unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. | إِذًا قَدْ كَانَ ٱلنَّامُوسُ مُؤَدِّبَنَا إِلَى ٱلْمَسِيحِ، لِكَيْ نَتَبَرَّرَ بِٱلْإِيمَانِ. | |
| ܟܕ ܐܬܬ ܕܝܢ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܠܐ ܗܘܝܢ ܬܚܝܬ ܬܪܐܐ | ἐλθούσης δὲ τῆς πίστεως οὐκέτι ὑπὸ παιδαγωγόν ἐσμεν. | 25 | But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. | وَلَكِنْ بَعْدَ مَا جَاءَ ٱلْإِيمَانُ، لَسْنَا بَعْدُ تَحْتَ مُؤَدِّبٍ. | |
| ܟܠܟܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܒܢܝܐ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܕܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ | Πάντες γὰρ υἱοὶ Θεοῦ ἐστε διὰ τῆς πίστεως ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ· | 26 | For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. | لِأَنَّكُمْ جَمِيعًا أَبْنَاءُ ٱللهِ بِٱلْإِيمَانِ بِٱلْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ. | |
| ܐܝܠܝܢ ܓܝܪ ܕܒܡܫܝܚܐ ܥܡܕܬܘܢ ܠܡܫܝܚܐ ܠܒܫܬܘܢ | ὅσοι γὰρ εἰς Χριστὸν ἐβαπτίσθητε, Χριστὸν ἐνεδύσασθε. | 27 | For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. | لِأَنَّ كُلَّكُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱعْتَمَدْتُمْ بِٱلْمَسِيحِ قَدْ لَبِسْتُمُ ٱلْمَسِيحَ: | |
| ܠܝܬ ܝܗܘܕܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܐܪܡܝܐ ܠܝܬ ܥܒܕܐ ܘܠܐ ܒܪ ܚܐܪܐ ܠܝܬ ܕܟܪܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܩܒܬܐ ܟܠܟܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܚܕ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܒܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ | οὐκ ἔνι Ἰουδαῖος οὐδὲ Ἕλλην, οὐκ ἔνι δοῦλος οὐδὲ ἐλεύθερος, οὐκ ἔνι ἄρσεν καὶ θῆλυ· πάντες γὰρ ὑμεῖς εἷς ἐστε ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ. | 28 | There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. | لَيْسَ يَهُودِيٌّ وَلَا يُونَانِيٌّ. لَيْسَ عَبْدٌ وَلَا حُرٌّ. لَيْسَ ذَكَرٌ وَأُنْثَى، لِأَنَّكُمْ جَمِيعًا وَاحِدٌ فِي ٱلْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ. | |

| ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܟܡܐ ܙܒܢܐ ܕܝܪܬܐ ܛܠܐ ܠܐ ܦܪܝܫ ܡܢ ܥܒܕܐ ܟܕ ܡܪܐ ܗܘ ܕܟܠܗܘܢ | Λέγω δέ, ἐφ’ ὅσον χρόνον ὁ κληρονόμος νήπιός ἐστιν, οὐδὲν διαφέρει δούλου κύριος πάντων ὤν, | 1 | Now I say, {That} the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; | وَإِنَّمَا أَقُولُ: مَا دَامَ ٱلْوَارِثُ قَاصِرًا لَا يَفْرِقُ شَيْئًا عَنِ ٱلْعَبْدِ، مَعَ كَوْنِهِ صَاحِبَ ٱلْجَمِيعِ. | |
| ܐܠܐ ܬܚܝܬ ܐܦܛܪܘܦܐ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܘܪܒܝ ܒܬܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܙܒܢܐ ܕܣܡ ܐܒܘܗܝ | ἀλλὰ ὑπὸ ἐπιτρόπους ἐστὶν καὶ οἰκονόμους ἄχρι τῆς προθεσμίας τοῦ πατρός. | 2 | But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father. | بَلْ هُوَ تَحْتَ أَوْصِيَاءَ وَوُكَلَاءَ إِلَى ٱلْوَقْتِ ٱلْمُؤَجَّلِ مِنْ أَبِيهِ. | |
| ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܚܢܢ ܟܕ ܝܠܘܕܐ ܗܘܝܢ ܬܚܝܬ ܐܣܛܘܟܣܘܗܝ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܡܫܥܒܕܝܢ ܗܘܝܢ | οὕτως καὶ ἡμεῖς, ὅτε ἦμεν νήπιοι, ὑπὸ τὰ στοιχεῖα τοῦ κόσμου ἤμεθα δεδουλωμένοι· | 3 | Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: {elements: or, rudiments} | هَكَذَا نَحْنُ أَيْضًا: لَمَّا كُنَّا قَاصِرِينَ، كُنَّا مُسْتَعْبَدِينَ تَحْتَ أَرْكَانِ ٱلْعَالَمِ. | |
| ܟܕ ܡܛܐ ܕܝܢ ܫܘܠܡܗ ܕܙܒܢܐ ܫܕܪ ܐܠܗܐ ܠܒܪܗ ܘܗܘܐ ܡܢ ܐܢܬܬܐ ܘܗܘܐ ܬܚܝܬ ܢܡܘܣܐ | ὅτε δὲ ἦλθεν τὸ πλήρωμα τοῦ χρόνου, ἐξαπέστειλεν ὁ Θεὸς τὸν Υἱὸν αὐτοῦ, γενόμενον ἐκ γυναικός, γενόμενον ὑπὸ νόμον, | 4 | But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, | وَلَكِنْ لَمَّا جَاءَ مِلْءُ ٱلزَّمَانِ، أَرْسَلَ ٱللهُ ٱبْنَهُ مَوْلُودًا مِنِ ٱمْرَأَةٍ، مَوْلُودًا تَحْتَ ٱلنَّامُوسِ، | |
| ܕܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܬܚܝܬ ܢܡܘܣܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܢܙܒܢ ܘܢܩܒܠ ܣܝܡܬ ܒܢܝܐ | ἵνα τοὺς ὑπὸ νόμον ἐξαγοράσῃ, ἵνα τὴν υἱοθεσίαν ἀπολάβωμεν. | 5 | To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. | لِيَفْتَدِيَ ٱلَّذِينَ تَحْتَ ٱلنَّامُوسِ، لِنَنَالَ ٱلتَّبَنِّيَ. | |
| ܘܕܐܝܬܝܟܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܒܢܝܐ ܫܕܪ ܐܠܗܐ ܪܘܚܐ ܕܒܪܗ ܠܠܒܘܬܟܘܢ ܗܝ ܕܩܪܝܐ ܐܒܐ ܐܒܘܢ | Ὅτι δέ ἐστε υἱοί, ἐξαπέστειλεν ὁ Θεὸς τὸ Πνεῦμα τοῦ Υἱοῦ αὐτοῦ εἰς τὰς καρδίας ἡμῶν, κρᾶζον Ἀββᾶ ὁ Πατήρ. | 6 | And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. | ثُمَّ بِمَا أَنَّكُمْ أَبْنَاءٌ، أَرْسَلَ ٱللهُ رُوحَ ٱبْنِهِ إِلَى قُلُوبِكُمْ صَارِخًا: «يَا أَبَا ٱلْآبُ». | |
| ܡܟܝܠ ܠܐ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܥܒܕܐ ܐܠܐ ܒܢܝܐ ܘܐܢ ܒܢܝܐ ܐܦ ܝܪܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܒܝܕ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ | ὥστε οὐκέτι εἶ δοῦλος ἀλλὰ υἱός· εἰ δὲ υἱός, καὶ κληρονόμος διὰ Θεοῦ. | 7 | Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. | إِذًا لَسْتَ بَعْدُ عَبْدًا بَلِ ٱبْنًا، وَإِنْ كُنْتَ ٱبْنًا فَوَارِثٌ لِلهِ بِٱلْمَسِيحِ. | |
| ܗܝܕܝܢ ܓܝܪ ܟܕ ܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܦܠܚܬܘܢ ܠܗܢܘܢ ܕܡܢ ܟܝܢܗܘܢ ܠܐ ܗܘܘ ܐܠܗܐ | Ἀλλὰ τότε μὲν οὐκ εἰδότες Θεὸν ἐδουλεύσατε τοῖς φύσει μὴ οὖσιν θεοῖς· | 8 | Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods. | لَكِنْ حِينَئِذٍ إِذْ كُنْتُمْ لَا تَعْرِفُونَ ٱللهَ، ٱسْتُعْبِدْتُمْ لِلَّذِينَ لَيْسُوا بِٱلطَّبِيعَةِ آلِهَةً. | |
| ܗܫܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܝܕܥܬܘܢ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܘܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܕܐܬܝܕܥܬܘܢ ܡܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܬܘܒ ܗܦܟܬܘܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܥܠ ܗܢܘܢ ܐܣܛܘܟܣܐ ܡܪܥܐ ܘܡܣܟܢܐ ܘܡܢ ܕܪܝܫ ܨܒܝܬܘܢ ܠܡܫܬܥܒܕܘ ܠܗܘܢ | νῦν δὲ γνόντες Θεόν, μᾶλλον δὲ γνωσθέντες ὑπὸ Θεοῦ, πῶς ἐπιστρέφετε πάλιν ἐπὶ τὰ ἀσθενῆ καὶ πτωχὰ στοιχεῖα, οἷς πάλιν ἄνωθεν δουλεῦσαι θέλετε; | 9 | But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? {turn ye again: or, turn ye back} {elements: or, rudiments} | وَأَمَّا ٱلْآنَ إِذْ عَرَفْتُمُ ٱللهَ، بَلْ بِٱلْحَرِيِّ عُرِفْتُمْ مِنَ ٱللهِ، فَكَيْفَ تَرْجِعُونَ أَيْضًا إِلَى ٱلْأَرْكَانِ ٱلضَّعِيفَةِ ٱلْفَقِيرَةِ ٱلَّتِي تُرِيدُونَ أَنْ تُسْتَعْبَدُوا لَهَا مِنْ جَدِيدٍ؟ | |
| ܝܘܡܐ ܘܝܪܚܐ ܘܙܒܢܐ ܘܫܢܝܐ ܢܛܪܝܬܘܢ | ἡμέρας παρατηρεῖσθε καὶ μῆνας καὶ καιροὺς καὶ ἐνιαυτούς. | 10 | Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. | أَتَحْفَظُونَ أَيَّامًا وَشُهُورًا وَأَوْقَاتًا وَسِنِينَ؟ | |
| ܕܚܠ ܐܢܐ ܕܠܡܐ ܣܪܝܩܐܝܬ ܠܐܝܬ ܒܟܘܢ | φοβοῦμαι ὑμᾶς μή πως εἰκῇ κεκοπίακα εἰς ὑμᾶς. | 11 | I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain. | أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْ أَكُونَ قَدْ تَعِبْتُ فِيكُمْ عَبَثًا! | |
| ܗܘܘ ܐܟܘܬܝ ܡܛܠ ܕܐܦ ܐܢܐ ܐܟܘܬܟܘܢ ܗܘܝܬ ܐܚܝ ܒܥܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܠܐ ܡܕܡ ܐܣܟܠܬܘܢ ܒܝ | Γίνεσθε ὡς ἐγώ, ὅτι κἀγὼ ὡς ὑμεῖς, ἀδελφοί, δέομαι ὑμῶν. οὐδέν με ἠδικήσατε· | 12 | Brethren, I beseech you, be as I {am}; for I {am} as ye {are}: ye have not injured me at all. | أَتَضَرَّعُ إِلَيْكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلْإِخْوَةُ، كُونُوا كَمَا أَنَا، لِأَنِّي أَنَا أَيْضًا كَمَا أَنْتُمْ. لَمْ تَظْلِمُونِي شَيْئًا. | |
| ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܕܒܟܪܝܗܘܬ ܒܣܪܝ ܣܒܪܬܟܘܢ ܗܘܝܬ ܡܢ ܩܕܝܡ | οἴδατε δὲ ὅτι δι’ ἀσθένειαν τῆς σαρκὸς εὐηγγελισάμην ὑμῖν τὸ πρότερον, | 13 | Ye know how through infirmity of the flesh I preached the gospel unto you at the first. | وَلَكِنَّكُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ أَنِّي بِضَعْفِ ٱلْجَسَدِ بَشَّرْتُكُمْ فِي ٱلْأَوَّلِ. | |
| ܘܢܣܝܘܢܐ ܕܒܣܪܝ ܠܐ ܫܛܬܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܢܕܬܘܢ ܐܠܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܠܡܠܐܟܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܩܒܠܬܘܢܢܝ ܘܐܝܟ ܕܠܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ | καὶ τὸν πειρασμὸν ὑμῶν ἐν τῇ σαρκί μου οὐκ ἐξουθενήσατε οὐδὲ ἐξεπτύσατε, ἀλλὰ ὡς ἄγγελον Θεοῦ ἐδέξασθέ με, ὡς Χριστὸν Ἰησοῦν. | 14 | And my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but received me as an angel of God, {even} as Christ Jesus. | وَتَجْرِبَتِي ٱلَّتِي فِي جَسَدِي لَمْ تَزْدَرُوا بِهَا وَلَا كَرِهْتُمُوهَا، بَلْ كَمَلَاكٍ مِنَ ٱللهِ قَبِلْتُمُونِي، كَٱلْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ. | |
| ܐܝܟܘ ܗܟܝܠ ܛܘܒܟܘܢ ܣܗܕ ܐܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ ܕܐܠܘ ܡܫܟܚܐ ܗܘܬ ܥܝܢܝܟܘܢ ܚܨܝܢ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܘܝܗܒܝܢ ܠܝ | ποῦ οὖν ὁ μακαρισμὸς ὑμῶν; μαρτυρῶ γὰρ ὑμῖν ὅτι εἰ δυνατὸν τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς ὑμῶν ἐξορύξαντες ἐδώκατέ μοι. | 15 | Where is then the blessedness ye spake of? for I bear you record, that, if {it had been} possible, ye would have plucked out your own eyes, and have given them to me. {Where...: or, What was then} | فَمَاذَا كَانَ إِذًا تَطْوِيبُكُمْ؟ لِأَنِّي أَشْهَدُ لَكُمْ أَنَّهُ لَوْ أَمْكَنَ لَقَلَعْتُمْ عُيُونَكُمْ وَأَعْطَيْتُمُونِي. | |
| ܕܠܡܐ ܒܥܠܕܒܒܐ ܗܘܝܬ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܐܟܪܙܬ ܠܟܘܢ ܫܪܪܐ | ὥστε ἐχθρὸς ὑμῶν γέγονα ἀληθεύων ὑμῖν; | 16 | Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth? | أَفَقَدْ صِرْتُ إِذًا عَدُوًّا لَكُمْ لِأَنِّي أَصْدُقُ لَكُمْ؟ | |
| ܚܣܡܝܢ ܒܟܘܢ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܠܫܦܝܪܬܐ ܐܠܐ ܠܡܚܒܫܟܘܢ ܗܘ ܨܒܝܢ ܕܐܢܬܘܢ ܬܗܘܘܢ ܚܣܡܝܢ ܒܗܘܢ | ζηλοῦσιν ὑμᾶς οὐ καλῶς, ἀλλὰ ἐκκλεῖσαι ὑμᾶς θέλουσιν, ἵνα αὐτοὺς ζηλοῦτε. | 17 | They zealously affect you, {but} not well; yea, they would exclude you, that ye might affect them. {exclude you: or, exclude us} | يَغَارُونَ لَكُمْ لَيْسَ حَسَنًا، بَلْ يُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يَصُدُّوكُمْ لِكَيْ تَغَارُوا لَهُمْ. | |
| ܫܦܝܪ ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܕܬܬܚܣܡܘܢ ܒܫܦܝܪܬܐ ܒܟܠܙܒܢ ܘܠܐ ܐܡܬܝ ܕܠܘܬܟܘܢ ܐܢܐ ܒܠܚܘܕ | καλὸν δὲ ζηλοῦσθαι ἐν καλῷ πάντοτε, καὶ μὴ μόνον ἐν τῷ παρεῖναί με πρὸς ὑμᾶς, | 18 | But {it is} good to be zealously affected always in {a} good {thing}, and not only when I am present with you. | حَسَنَةٌ هِيَ ٱلْغَيْرَةُ فِي ٱلْحُسْنَى كُلَّ حِينٍ، وَلَيْسَ حِينَ حُضُورِي عِنْدَكُمْ فَقَطْ. | |
| ܒܢܝ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܢ ܕܪܝܫ ܡܚܒܠ ܐܢܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܢܬܬܨܝܪ ܒܟܘܢ ܡܫܝܚܐ | τέκνα μου, οὓς πάλιν ὠδίνω μέχρις οὗ μορφωθῇ Χριστὸς ἐν ὑμῖν· | 19 | My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you, | يَا أَوْلَادِي ٱلَّذِينَ أَتَمَخَّضُ بِكُمْ أَيْضًا إِلَى أَنْ يَتَصَوَّرَ ٱلْمَسِيحُ فِيكُمْ. | |
| ܨܒܐ ܗܘܝܬ ܕܝܢ ܕܐܗܘܐ ܠܘܬܟܘܢ ܗܫܐ ܘܐܫܚܠܦ ܒܪܬ ܩܠܝ ܡܛܠ ܕܬܡܝܗ ܐܢܐ ܒܟܘܢ | ἤθελον δὲ παρεῖναι πρὸς ὑμᾶς ἄρτι καὶ ἀλλάξαι τὴν φωνήν μου, ὅτι ἀποροῦμαι ἐν ὑμῖν. | 20 | I desire to be present with you now, and to change my voice; for I stand in doubt of you. {I stand...: or, I am perplexed for you} | وَلَكِنِّي كُنْتُ أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَكُونَ حَاضِرًا عِنْدَكُمُ ٱلْآنَ وَأُغَيِّرَ صَوْتِي، لِأَنِّي مُتَحَيِّرٌ فِيكُمْ! | |
| ܐܡܪܘ ܠܝ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܨܒܝܢ ܕܢܗܘܘܢ ܬܚܝܬ ܢܡܘܣܐ ܠܗ ܠܢܡܘܣܐ ܠܐ ܫܡܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ | Λέγετέ μοι, οἱ ὑπὸ νόμον θέλοντες εἶναι, τὸν νόμον οὐκ ἀκούετε; | 21 | Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law? | قُولُوا لِي، أَنْتُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ تُرِيدُونَ أَنْ تَكُونُوا تَحْتَ ٱلنَّامُوسِ: أَلَسْتُمْ تَسْمَعُونَ ٱلنَّامُوسَ؟ | |
| ܟܬܝܒ ܓܝܪ ܕܠܐܒܪܗܡ ܬܪܝܢ ܒܢܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܗ ܚܕ ܡܢ ܐܡܬܐ ܘܚܕ ܡܢ ܚܐܪܬܐ | γέγραπται γὰρ ὅτι Ἀβραὰμ δύο υἱοὺς ἔσχεν, ἕνα ἐκ τῆς παιδίσκης καὶ ἕνα ἐκ τῆς ἐλευθέρας. | 22 | For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. | فَإِنَّهُ مَكْتُوبٌ: أَنَّهُ كَانَ لِإِبْرَاهِيمَ ٱبْنَانِ، وَاحِدٌ مِنَ ٱلْجَارِيَةِ وَٱلْآخَرُ مِنَ ٱلْحُرَّةِ. | |
| ܐܠܐ ܗܘ ܕܡܢ ܐܡܬܐ ܒܒܣܪ ܐܬܝܠܕ ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܕܡܢ ܚܐܪܬܐ ܒܡܘܠܟܢܐ ܗܘܐ | ἀλλ’ ὁ μὲν ἐκ τῆς παιδίσκης κατὰ σάρκα γεγέννηται, ὁ δὲ ἐκ τῆς ἐλευθέρας διὰ τῆς ἐπαγγελίας. | 23 | But he {who was} of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman {was} by promise. | لَكِنَّ ٱلَّذِي مِنَ ٱلْجَارِيَةِ وُلِدَ حَسَبَ ٱلْجَسَدِ، وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِي مِنَ ٱلْحُرَّةِ فَبِالْمَوْعِدِ. | |
| ܗܠܝܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܝܬܝܗܝܢ ܦܠܐܬܐ ܕܬܪܬܝܢ ܕܝܬܩܣ ܚܕܐ ܕܡܢ ܛܘܪ ܣܝܢܝ ܝܠܕܐ ܠܥܒܕܘܬܐ ܕܐܝܬܝܗ ܗܓܪ | ἅτινά ἐστιν ἀλληγορούμενα· αὗται γάρ εἰσιν δύο διαθῆκαι, μία μὲν ἀπὸ ὄρους Σινᾶ, εἰς δουλείαν γεννῶσα, ἥτις ἐστὶν Ἄγαρ, | 24 | Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. {covenants: or, testaments} {Sinai: Gr. Sina} | وَكُلُّ ذَلِكَ رَمْزٌ، لِأَنَّ هَاتَيْنِ هُمَا ٱلْعَهْدَانِ، أَحَدُهُمَا مِنْ جَبَلِ سِينَاءَ، ٱلْوَالِدُ لِلْعُبُودِيَّةِ، ٱلَّذِي هُوَ هَاجَرُ. | |
| ܗܓܪ ܓܝܪ ܛܘܪܐ ܗܘ ܕܣܝܢܝ ܕܒܐܪܒܝܐ ܘܫܠܡܐ ܠܗܕܐ ܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܘܦܠܚܐ ܥܒܕܘܬܐ ܗܝ ܘܒܢܝܗ | τὸ δὲ Ἄγαρ Σινᾶ ὄρος ἐστὶν ἐν τῇ Ἀραβίᾳ· συνστοιχεῖ δὲ τῇ νῦν Ἱερουσαλήμ, δουλεύει γὰρ μετὰ τῶν τέκνων αὐτῆς. | 25 | For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. {answereth to: or, is in the same rank with} | لِأَنَّ هَاجَرَ جَبَلُ سِينَاءَ فِي ٱلْعَرَبِيَّةِ. وَلَكِنَّهُ يُقَابِلُ أُورُشَلِيمَ ٱلْحَاضِرَةَ، فَإِنَّهَا مُسْتَعْبَدَةٌ مَعَ بَنِيهَا. | |
| ܗܝ ܕܝܢ ܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܥܠܝܬܐ ܚܐܪܬܐ ܗܝ ܕܐܝܬܝܗ ܐܡܢ | ἡ δὲ ἄνω Ἱερουσαλὴμ ἐλευθέρα ἐστίν, ἥτις ἐστὶν μήτηρ ἡμῶν· | 26 | But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. | وَأَمَّا أُورُشَلِيمُ ٱلْعُلْيَا، ٱلَّتِي هِيَ أُمُّنَا جَمِيعًا، فَهِيَ حُرَّةٌ. | |
| ܟܬܝܒ ܓܝܪ ܕܐܬܒܣܡܝ ܥܩܪܬܐ ܗܝ ܕܠܐ ܝܠܕܐ ܘܐܬܦܨܚܝ ܘܓܥܝ ܗܝ ܕܠܐ ܡܚܒܠܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܣܓܝܘ ܒܢܝܗ ܕܨܕܝܬܐ ܝܬܝܪ ܡܢ ܒܢܝܗ ܕܒܥܝܠܬܐ | γέγραπται γάρ Εὐφράνθητι, στεῖρα ἡ οὐ τίκτουσα, ῥῆξον καὶ βόησον, ἡ οὐκ ὠδίνουσα· ὅτι πολλὰ τὰ τέκνα τῆς ἐρήμου μᾶλλον ἢ τῆς ἐχούσης τὸν ἄνδρα. | 27 | For it is written, Rejoice, {thou} barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband. | لِأَنَّهُ مَكْتُوبٌ: «ٱفْرَحِي أَيَّتُهَا ٱلْعَاقِرُ ٱلَّتِي لَمْ تَلِدْ. اِهْتِفِي وَٱصْرُخِي أَيَّتُهَا ٱلَّتِي لَمْ تَتَمَخَّضْ، فَإِنَّ أَوْلَادَ ٱلْمُوحِشَةِ أَكْثَرُ مِنَ ٱلَّتِي لَهَا زَوْجٌ». | |
| ܚܢܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܚܝ ܐܝܟ ܐܝܣܚܩ ܒܢܝ ܡܘܠܟܢܐ ܚܢܢ | ὑμεῖς δέ, ἀδελφοί, κατὰ Ἰσαὰκ ἐπαγγελίας τέκνα ἐστέ. | 28 | Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. | وَأَمَّا نَحْنُ أَيُّهَا ٱلْإِخْوَةُ فَنَظِيرُ إِسْحَاقَ، أَوْلَادُ ٱلْمَوْعِدِ. | |
| ܘܐܝܟ ܕܗܝܕܝܢ ܗܘ ܕܝܠܝܕ ܗܘܐ ܒܒܣܪܐ ܪܕܦ ܗܘܐ ܠܗܘ ܕܒܪܘܚܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܗܫܐ | ἀλλ’ ὥσπερ τότε ὁ κατὰ σάρκα γεννηθεὶς ἐδίωκεν τὸν κατὰ Πνεῦμα, οὕτως καὶ νῦν. | 29 | But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him {that was born} after the Spirit, even so {it is} now. | وَلَكِنْ كَمَا كَانَ حِينَئِذٍ ٱلَّذِي وُلِدَ حَسَبَ ٱلْجَسَدِ يَضْطَهِدُ ٱلَّذِي حَسَبَ ٱلرُّوحِ، هَكَذَا ٱلْآنَ أَيْضًا. | |
| ܐܠܐ ܡܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܟܬܒܐ ܐܦܩܝܗ ܠܐܡܬܐ ܘܠܒܪܗ ܡܛܠ ܕܠܐ ܢܐܪܬ ܒܪܗ ܕܐܡܬܐ ܥܡ ܒܪܗ ܕܚܐܪܬܐ | ἀλλὰ τί λέγει ἡ γραφή; Ἔκβαλε τὴν παιδίσκην καὶ τὸν υἱὸν αὐτῆς· οὐ γὰρ μὴ κληρονομήσει ὁ υἱὸς τῆς παιδίσκης μετὰ τοῦ υἱοῦ τῆς ἐλευθέρας. | 30 | Nevertheless what saith the scripture? | ܩܘܡܘ ܗܟܝܠ ܒܚܐܪܘܬܐ ܗܝ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܚܪܪܢ ܘܠܐ ܬܬܟܕܢܘܢ ܬܘܒ ܒܢܝܪܐ ܕܥܒܕܘܬܐ | Τῇ ἐλευθερίᾳ ἡμᾶς Χριστὸς ἠλευθέρωσεν· στήκετε οὖν καὶ μὴ πάλιν ζυγῷ δουλείας ἐνέχεσθε. | 1 | Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. | فَٱثْبُتُوا إِذًا فِي ٱلْحُرِّيَّةِ ٱلَّتِي قَدْ حَرَّرَنَا ٱلْمَسِيحُ بِهَا، وَلَا تَرْتَبِكُوا أَيْضًا بِنِيرِ عُبُودِيَّةٍ. | |
| ܗܐ ܐܢܐ ܦܘܠܘܣ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܐܢ ܬܬܓܙܪܘܢ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܡܕܡ ܠܐ ܡܗܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ | Ἴδε ἐγὼ Παῦλος λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι ἐὰν περιτέμνησθε Χριστὸς ὑμᾶς οὐδὲν ὠφελήσει. | 2 | Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. | هَا أَنَا بُولُسُ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ: إِنَّهُ إِنِ ٱخْتَتَنْتُمْ لَا يَنْفَعُكُمُ ٱلْمَسِيحُ شَيْئًا! | |
| ܡܣܗܕ ܐܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܬܘܒ ܠܟܠ ܒܪܢܫ ܕܡܬܓܙܪ ܕܚܝܒ ܗܘ ܕܟܠܗ ܢܡܘܣܐ ܢܥܒܕ | μαρτύρομαι δὲ πάλιν παντὶ ἀνθρώπῳ περιτεμνομένῳ ὅτι ὀφειλέτης ἐστὶν ὅλον τὸν νόμον ποιῆσαι. | 3 | For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. | لَكِنْ أَشْهَدُ أَيْضًا لِكُلِّ إِنْسَانٍ مُخْتَتِنٍ أَنَّهُ مُلْتَزِمٌ أَنْ يَعْمَلَ بِكُلِّ ٱلنَّامُوسِ. | |
| ܐܬܒܛܠܬܘܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܡܢ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܒܢܡܘܣܐ ܡܙܕܕܩܝܬܘܢ ܘܡܢ ܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܢܦܠܬܘܢ | κατηργήθητε ἀπὸ Χριστοῦ οἵτινες ἐν νόμῳ δικαιοῦσθε, τῆς χάριτος ἐξεπέσατε. | 4 | Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. | قَدْ تَبَطَّلْتُمْ عَنِ ٱلْمَسِيحِ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ تَتَبَرَّرُونَ بِٱلنَّامُوسِ. سَقَطْتُمْ مِنَ ٱلنِّعْمَةِ. | |
| ܚܢܢ ܓܝܪ ܒܪܘܚܐ ܕܡܢ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܠܣܒܪܐ ܕܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ ܡܩܘܝܢܢ | ἡμεῖς γὰρ Πνεύματι ἐκ πίστεως ἐλπίδα δικαιοσύνης ἀπεκδεχόμεθα. | 5 | For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. | فَإِنَّنَا بِٱلرُّوحِ مِنَ ٱلْإِيمَانِ نَتَوَقَّعُ رَجَاءَ بِرٍّ. | |
| ܒܡܫܝܚܐ ܓܝܪ ܝܫܘܥ ܠܐ ܓܙܘܪܬܐ ܡܕܡ ܐܝܬܝܗ ܘܠܐ ܥܘܪܠܘܬܐ ܐܠܐ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܕܡܬܓܡܪܐ ܒܚܘܒܐ | ἐν γὰρ Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ οὔτε περιτομή τι ἰσχύει οὔτε ἀκροβυστία, ἀλλὰ πίστις δι’ ἀγάπης ἐνεργουμένη. | 6 | For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. | لِأَنَّهُ فِي ٱلْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ لَا ٱلْخِتَانُ يَنْفَعُ شَيْئًا وَلَا ٱلْغُرْلَةُ، بَلِ ٱلْإِيمَانُ ٱلْعَامِلُ بِٱلْمَحَبَّةِ. | |
| ܫܦܝܪ ܪܗܛܝܢ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܡܢܘ ܕܘܕܟܘܢ ܕܠܫܪܪܐ ܠܐ ܬܬܛܦܝܣܘܢ | Ἐτρέχετε καλῶς· τίς ὑμᾶς ἐνέκοψεν ἀληθείᾳ μὴ πείθεσθαι; | 7 | Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth? {hinder you: or, drive you back} | كُنْتُمْ تَسْعَوْنَ حَسَنًا. فَمَنْ صَدَّكُمْ حَتَّى لَا تُطَاوِعُوا لِلْحَقِّ؟ | |
| ܦܝܣܟܘܢ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܡܢ ܗܘ ܕܩܪܟܘܢ | ἡ πεισμονὴ οὐκ ἐκ τοῦ καλοῦντος ὑμᾶς. | 8 | This persuasion {cometh} not of him that calleth you. | هَذِهِ ٱلْمُطَاوَعَةُ لَيْسَتْ مِنَ ٱلَّذِي دَعَاكُمْ. | |
| ܚܡܝܪܐ ܩܠܝܠ ܟܠܗ ܓܒܝܠܬܐ ܡܚܡܥ | μικρὰ ζύμη ὅλον τὸ φύραμα ζυμοῖ. | 9 | A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. | «خَمِيرَةٌ صَغِيرَةٌ تُخَمِّرُ ٱلْعَجِينَ كُلَّهُ». | |
| ܐܢܐ ܬܟܝܠ ܐܢܐ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ ܒܡܪܢ ܕܡܕܡ ܐܚܪܝܢ ܠܐ ܡܬܪܥܝܬܘܢ ܘܐܝܢܐ ܕܕܠܚ ܠܟܘܢ ܗܘ ܢܣܝܒܪܝܘܗܝ ܠܕܝܢܐ ܡܢ ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ | ἐγὼ πέποιθα εἰς ὑμᾶς ἐν Κυρίῳ ὅτι οὐδὲν ἄλλο φρονήσετε· ὁ δὲ ταράσσων ὑμᾶς βαστάσει τὸ κρίμα, ὅστις ἐὰν ᾖ. | 10 | I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be. | وَلَكِنَّنِي أَثِقُ بِكُمْ فِي ٱلرَّبِّ أَنَّكُمْ لَا تَفْتَكِرُونَ شَيْئًا آخَرَ. وَلَكِنَّ ٱلَّذِي يُزْعِجُكُمْ سَيَحْمِلُ ٱلدَّيْنُونَةَ أَيَّ مَنْ كَانَ. | |
| ܐܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܚܝ ܐܠܘ ܥܕܟܝܠ ܓܙܘܪܬܐ ܡܟܪܙ ܗܘܝܬ ܠܡܢܐ ܡܬܪܕܦ ܗܘܝܬ ܕܠܡܐ ܐܬܒܛܠ ܠܗ ܟܫܠܗ ܕܙܩܝܦܐ | Ἐγὼ δέ, ἀδελφοί, εἰ περιτομὴν ἔτι κηρύσσω, τί ἔτι διώκομαι; ἄρα κατήργηται τὸ σκάνδαλον τοῦ σταυροῦ. | 11 | And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased. | وَأَمَّا أَنَا أَيُّهَا ٱلْإِخْوَةُ فَإِنْ كُنْتُ بَعْدُ أَكْرِزُ بِٱلْخِتَانِ، فَلِمَاذَا أُضْطَهَدُ بَعْدُ؟ إِذًا عَثْرَةُ ٱلصَّلِيبِ قَدْ بَطَلَتْ. | |
| ܐܫܬܘܦ ܕܝܢ ܐܦ ܡܦܣܩ ܢܦܣܩܘܢ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܕܠܚܝܢ ܠܟܘܢ | Ὄφελον καὶ ἀποκόψονται οἱ ἀναστατοῦντες ὑμᾶς. | 12 | I would they were even cut off which trouble you. | يَالَيْتَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُقْلِقُونَكُمْ يَقْطَعُونَ أَيْضًا! | |
| ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܠܚܐܪܘܬܐ ܗܘ ܐܬܩܪܝܬܘܢ ܐܚܝ ܒܠܚܘܕ ܠܐ ܬܗܘܐ ܚܐܪܘܬܟܘܢ ܠܥܠܬ ܒܣܪܐ ܐܠܐ ܒܚܘܒܐ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܡܫܬܥܒܕܝܢ ܚܕ ܠܚܕ | Ὑμεῖς γὰρ ἐπ’ ἐλευθερίᾳ ἐκλήθητε, ἀδελφοί· μόνον μὴ τὴν ἐλευθερίαν εἰς ἀφορμὴν τῇ σαρκί, ἀλλὰ διὰ τῆς ἀγάπης δουλεύετε ἀλλήλοις. | 13 | For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only {use} not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. | فَإِنَّكُمْ إِنَّمَا دُعِيتُمْ لِلْحُرِّيَّةِ أَيُّهَا ٱلْإِخْوَةُ. غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ لَا تُصَيِّرُوا ٱلْحُرِّيَّةَ فُرْصَةً لِلْجَسَدِ، بَلْ بِٱلْمَحَبَّةِ ٱخْدِمُوا بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضًا. | |
| ܟܠܗ ܓܝܪ ܢܡܘܣܐ ܒܚܕܐ ܡܠܬܐ ܡܬܡܠܐ ܒܗܝ ܕܬܚܒ ܠܩܪܝܒܟ ܐܝܟ ܢܦܫܟ | ὁ γὰρ πᾶς νόμος ἐν ἑνὶ λόγῳ πεπλήρωται, ἐν τῷ Ἀγαπήσεις τὸν πλησίον σου ὡς σεαυτόν. | 14 | For all the law is fulfilled in one word, {even} in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. | لِأَنَّ كُلَّ ٱلنَّامُوسِ فِي كَلِمَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ يُكْمَلُ: «تُحِبُّ قَرِيبَكَ كَنَفْسِكَ». | |
| ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܚܕ ܠܚܕ ܡܢܟܬܝܬܘܢ ܘܐܟܠܝܬܘܢ ܚܙܘ ܕܠܡܐ ܚܕ ܡܢ ܚܕ ܬܣܘܦܘܢ | εἰ δὲ ἀλλήλους δάκνετε καὶ κατεσθίετε, βλέπετε μὴ ὑπ’ ἀλλήλων ἀναλωθῆτε. | 15 | But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. | فَإِذَا كُنْتُمْ تَنْهَشُونَ وَتَأْكُلُونَ بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضًا، فَٱنْظُرُوا لِئَلَّا تُفْنُوا بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضًا. | |
| ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܒܪܘܚܐ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܡܗܠܟܝܢ ܘܪܓܬܐ ܕܒܣܪܐ ܠܐ ܡܢ ܡܬܘܡ ܬܥܒܕܘܢ | Λέγω δέ, Πνεύματι περιπατεῖτε καὶ ἐπιθυμίαν σαρκὸς οὐ μὴ τελέσητε. | 16 | {This} I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. {ye...: or, fulfil not} | وَإِنَّمَا أَقُولُ: ٱسْلُكُوا بِٱلرُّوحِ فَلَا تُكَمِّلُوا شَهْوَةَ ٱلْجَسَدِ. | |
| ܒܣܪܐ ܓܝܪ ܪܐܓ ܡܕܡ ܕܢܟܐ ܠܪܘܚܐ ܘܪܘܚܐ ܪܓܐ ܡܕܡ ܕܢܟܐ ܠܒܣܪܐ ܘܬܪܝܗܘܢ ܣܩܘܒܠܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܚܕ ܕܚܕ ܕܠܐ ܡܕܡ ܕܨܒܝܬܘܢ ܬܗܘܘܢ ܥܒܕܝܢ | ἡ γὰρ σὰρξ ἐπιθυμεῖ κατὰ τοῦ Πνεύματος, τὸ δὲ Πνεῦμα κατὰ τῆς σαρκός, ταῦτα γὰρ ἀλλήλοις ἀντίκειται, ἵνα μὴ ἃ ἐὰν θέλητε ταῦτα ποιῆτε. | 17 | For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. | لِأَنَّ ٱلْجَسَدَ يَشْتَهِي ضِدَّ ٱلرُّوحِ وَٱلرُّوحُ ضِدَّ ٱلْجَسَدِ، وَهَذَانِ يُقَاوِمُ أَحَدُهُمَا ٱلْآخَرَ، حَتَّى تَفْعَلُونَ مَا لَا تُرِيدُونَ. | |
| ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܒܪܘܚܐ ܡܬܕܒܪܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܐ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܬܚܝܬ ܢܡܘܣܐ | εἰ δὲ Πνεύματι ἄγεσθε, οὐκ ἐστὲ ὑπὸ νόμον. | 18 | But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. | وَلَكِنْ إِذَا ٱنْقَدْتُمْ بِٱلرُّوحِ فَلَسْتُمْ تَحْتَ ٱلنَّامُوسِ. | |

| ܚܣܡܐ ܩܛܠܐ ܪܘܝܘܬܐ ܙܡܪܐ ܘܟܠ ܕܠܗܠܝܢ ܕܡܝܢ ܘܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܗܠܝܢ ܣܥܪܝܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܡܢ ܠܘܩܕܡ ܐܡܪܬ ܠܟܘܢ ܐܦ ܗܫܐ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܕܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܠܐ ܝܪܬܝܢ | φθόνοι, μέθαι, κῶμοι, καὶ τὰ ὅμοια τούτοις, ἃ προλέγω ὑμῖν καθὼς προεῖπον ὅτι οἱ τὰ τοιαῦτα πράσσοντες βασιλείαν Θεοῦ οὐ κληρονομήσουσιν. | 21 | Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told {you} in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. | حَسَدٌ، قَتْلٌ، سُكْرٌ، بَطَرٌ، وَأَمْثَالُ هَذِهِ ٱلَّتِي أَسْبِقُ فَأَقُولُ لَكُمْ عَنْهَا كَمَا سَبَقْتُ فَقُلْتُ أَيْضًا: إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَفْعَلُونَ مِثْلَ هَذِهِ لَا يَرِثُونَ مَلَكُوتَ ٱللهِ. | |

| ܡܟܝܟܘܬܐ ܡܣܝܒܪܢܘܬܐ ܥܠ ܗܠܝܢ ܢܡܘܣܐ ܠܐ ܣܝܡ | πραΰτης, ἐγκράτεια· κατὰ τῶν τοιούτων οὐκ ἔστιν νόμος. | 23 | Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. | وَدَاعَةٌ، تَعَفُّفٌ. ضِدَّ أَمْثَالِ هَذِهِ لَيْسَ نَامُوسٌ. | |
| ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܝܢ ܕܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܣܪܗܘܢ ܙܩܦܘ ܥܡ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܟܐܒܘܗܝ ܘܪܓܝܓܬܗ | οἱ δὲ τοῦ Χριστοῦ Ἰησοῦ τὴν σάρκα ἐσταύρωσαν σὺν τοῖς παθήμασιν καὶ ταῖς ἐπιθυμίαις. | 24 | And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. {affections: or, passions} | وَلَكِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ لِلْمَسِيحِ قَدْ صَلَبُوا ٱلْجَسَدَ مَعَ ٱلْأَهْوَاءِ وَٱلشَّهَوَاتِ. | |

| ܘܛܥܢܘ ܝܘܩܪܐ ܕܚܕܕܐ ܕܗܟܢܐ ܡܡܠܝܬܘܢ ܢܡܘܣܗ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ | Ἀλλήλων τὰ βάρη βαστάζετε, καὶ οὕτως ἀναπληρώσετε τὸν νόμον τοῦ Χριστοῦ. | 2 | Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. | اِحْمِلُوا بَعْضُكُمْ أَثْقَالَ بَعْضٍ، وَهَكَذَا تَمِّمُوا نَامُوسَ ٱلْمَسِيحِ. | |
| ܐܢ ܓܝܪ ܐܢܫ ܣܒܪ ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܡܕܡ ܟܕ ܠܐ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܢܦܫܗ ܡܛܥܐ | εἰ γὰρ δοκεῖ τις εἶναί τι μηδὲν ὤν, φρεναπατᾷ ἑαυτόν. | 3 | For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. | لِأَنَّهُ إِنْ ظَنَّ أَحَدٌ أَنَّهُ شَيْءٌ وَهُوَ لَيْسَ شَيْئًا، فَإِنَّهُ يَغُشُّ نَفْسَهُ. | |
| ܐܠܐ ܐܢܫ ܥܒܕܗ ܢܗܘܐ ܒܩܐ ܘܗܝܕܝܢ ܒܝܢܘܗܝ ܠܢܦܫܗ ܢܗܘܐ ܫܘܒܗܪܗ ܘܠܐ ܒܐܚܪܢܐ | τὸ δὲ ἔργον ἑαυτοῦ δοκιμαζέτω ἕκαστος, καὶ τότε εἰς ἑαυτὸν μόνον τὸ καύχημα ἕξει καὶ οὐκ εἰς τὸν ἕτερον· | 4 | But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. | وَلَكِنْ لِيَمْتَحِنْ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ عَمَلَهُ، وَحِينَئِذٍ يَكُونُ لَهُ ٱلْفَخْرُ مِنْ جِهَةِ نَفْسِهِ فَقَطْ، لَا مِنْ جِهَةِ غَيْرِهِ. | |
| ܟܠܢܫ ܓܝܪ ܡܘܒܠܐ ܕܢܦܫܗ ܢܫܩܘܠ | ἕκαστος γὰρ τὸ ἴδιον φορτίον βαστάσει. | 5 | For every man shall bear his own burden. | لِأَنَّ كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ سَيَحْمِلُ حِمْلَ نَفْسِهِ. | |
| ܢܫܬܘܬܦ ܕܝܢ ܗܘ ܕܫܡܥ ܡܠܬܐ ܠܗܘ ܡܢ ܕܡܫܡܥ ܠܗ ܒܟܠܗܝܢ ܛܒܬܐ | Κοινωνείτω δὲ ὁ κατηχούμενος τὸν λόγον τῷ κατηχοῦντι ἐν πᾶσιν ἀγαθοῖς. | 6 | Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. | وَلَكِنْ لِيُشَارِكِ ٱلَّذِي يَتَعَلَّمُ ٱلْكَلِمَةَ ٱلْمُعَلِّمَ فِي جَمِيعِ ٱلْخَيْرَاتِ. | |
| ܠܐ ܬܛܥܘܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܠܐ ܡܬܒܙܚ ܡܕܡ ܕܙܪܥ ܓܝܪ ܒܪ ܐܢܫܐ ܗܘ ܗܘ ܚܨܕ | Μὴ πλανᾶσθε, Θεὸς οὐ μυκτηρίζεται. ὃ γὰρ ἐὰν σπείρῃ ἄνθρωπος, τοῦτο καὶ θερίσει· | 7 | Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. | لَا تَضِلُّوا! ٱللهُ لَا يُشْمَخُ عَلَيْهِ. فَإِنَّ ٱلَّذِي يَزْرَعُهُ ٱلْإِنْسَانُ إِيَّاهُ يَحْصُدُ أَيْضًا. | |
| ܡܢ ܕܒܒܣܪ ܙܪܥ ܡܢ ܒܣܪܐ ܚܒܠܐ ܗܘ ܚܨܕ ܘܡܢ ܕܒܪܘܚ ܙܪܥ ܡܢ ܪܘܚܐ ܚܝܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ ܢܚܨܘܕ | ὅτι ὁ σπείρων εἰς τὴν σάρκα ἑαυτοῦ ἐκ τῆς σαρκὸς θερίσει φθοράν, ὁ δὲ σπείρων εἰς τὸ Πνεῦμα ἐκ τοῦ Πνεύματος θερίσει ζωὴν αἰώνιον. | 8 | For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. | لِأَنَّ مَنْ يَزْرَعُ لِجَسَدِهِ فَمِنَ ٱلْجَسَدِ يَحْصُدُ فَسَادًا، وَمَنْ يَزْرَعُ لِلرُّوحِ فَمِنَ ٱلرُّوحِ يَحْصُدُ حَيَاةً أَبَدِيَّةً. | |
| ܘܟܕ ܥܒܕܝܢܢ ܕܛܒ ܠܐ ܗܘܬ ܡܐܢܐ ܠܢ ܢܗܘܐ ܓܝܪ ܙܒܢܐ ܕܢܚܨܘܕ ܘܠܐ ܬܡܐܢ ܠܢ | τὸ δὲ καλὸν ποιοῦντες μὴ ἐνκακῶμεν· καιρῷ γὰρ ἰδίῳ θερίσομεν μὴ ἐκλυόμενοι. | 9 | And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. | فَلَا نَفْشَلْ فِي عَمَلِ ٱلْخَيْرِ لِأَنَّنَا سَنَحْصُدُ فِي وَقْتِهِ إِنْ كُنَّا لَا نَكِلُّ. | |
| ܗܫܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܥܕ ܙܒܢܐ ܐܝܬ ܠܢ ܢܦܠܘܚ ܛܒܬܐ ܠܘܬ ܟܠܢܫ ܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܠܘܬ ܒܢܝ ܒܝܬܐ ܕܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ | Ἄρα οὖν ὡς καιρὸν ἔχωμεν, ἐργαζώμεθα τὸ ἀγαθὸν πρὸς πάντας, μάλιστα δὲ πρὸς τοὺς οἰκείους τῆς πίστεως. | 10 | As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all {men}, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. | فَإِذًا حَسْبَمَا لَنَا فُرْصَةٌ، فَلْنَعْمَلِ ٱلْخَيْرَ لِلْجَمِيعِ، وَلَا سِيَّمَا لِأَهْلِ ٱلْإِيمَانِ. | |
| ܚܙܘ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܟܬܝܒܢ ܟܬܒܬ ܠܟܘܢ ܒܐܝܕܝ | Ἴδετε πηλίκοις ὑμῖν γράμμασιν ἔγραψα τῇ ἐμῇ χειρί. | 11 | Ye see how large a letter I have written unto you with mine own hand. | اُنْظُرُوا، مَا أَكْبَرَ ٱلْأَحْرُفَ ٱلَّتِي كَتَبْتُهَا إِلَيْكُمْ بِيَدِي! | |
| ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܨܒܝܢ ܕܢܫܬܒܗܪܘܢ ܒܒܣܪܐ ܗܢܘܢ ܐܠܨܝܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܬܬܓܙܪܘܢ ܕܒܠܚܘܕ ܒܙܩܝܦܗ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܠܐ ܢܬܪܕܦܘܢ | Ὅσοι θέλουσιν εὐπροσωπῆσαι ἐν σαρκί, οὗτοι ἀναγκάζουσιν ὑμᾶς περιτέμνεσθαι, μόνον ἵνα τῷ σταυρῷ τοῦ Χριστοῦ μὴ διώκωνται. | 12 | As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ. | جَمِيعُ ٱلَّذِينَ يُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يَعْمَلُوا مَنْظَرًا حَسَنًا فِي ٱلْجَسَدِ، هَؤُلَاءِ يُلْزِمُونَكُمْ أَنْ تَخْتَتِنُوا، لِئَلَّا يُضْطَهَدُوا لِأَجْلِ صَلِيبِ ٱلْمَسِيحِ فَقَطْ. | |
| ܐܦܠܐ ܓܝܪ ܗܢܘܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܕܓܙܪܝܢ ܢܛܪܝܢ ܢܡܘܣܐ ܐܠܐ ܨܒܝܢ ܕܬܬܓܙܪܘܢ ܕܒܒܣܪܟܘܢ ܕܝܠܟܘܢ ܢܫܬܒܗܪܘܢ | οὐδὲ γὰρ οἱ περιτεμνόμενοι αὐτοὶ νόμον φυλάσσουσιν, ἀλλὰ θέλουσιν ὑμᾶς περιτέμνεσθαι ἵνα ἐν τῇ ὑμετέρᾳ σαρκὶ καυχήσωνται. | 13 | For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh. | لِأَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخْتَتِنُونَ هُمْ لَا يَحْفَظُونَ ٱلنَّامُوسَ، بَلْ يُرِيدُونَ أَنْ تَخْتَتِنُوا أَنْتُمْ لِكَيْ يَفْتَخِرُوا فِي جَسَدِكُمْ. | |
| ܠܝ ܕܝܢ ܠܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܠܝ ܕܐܫܬܒܗܪ ܐܠܐ ܒܙܩܝܦܗ ܕܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܕܒܗ ܥܠܡܐ ܙܩܝܦ ܠܝ ܘܐܢܐ ܙܩܝܦ ܐܢܐ ܠܥܠܡܐ | ἐμοὶ δὲ μὴ γένοιτο καυχᾶσθαι εἰ μὴ ἐν τῷ σταυρῷ τοῦ Κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ, δι’ οὗ ἐμοὶ κόσμος ἐσταύρωται κἀγὼ κόσμῳ. | 14 | But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. {by whom: or, whereby} | وَأَمَّا مِنْ جِهَتِي، فَحَاشَا لِي أَنْ أَفْتَخِرَ إِلَّا بِصَلِيبِ رَبِّنَا يَسُوعَ ٱلْمَسِيحِ، ٱلَّذِي بِهِ قَدْ صُلِبَ ٱلْعَالَمُ لِي وَأَنَا لِلْعَالَمِ. | |
| ܠܐ ܓܝܪ ܓܙܘܪܬܐ ܐܝܬܝܗ ܡܕܡ ܘܠܐ ܥܘܪܠܘܬܐ ܐܠܐ ܒܪܝܬܐ ܚܕܬܐ | οὔτε γὰρ περιτομή τί ἐστιν οὔτε ἀκροβυστία, ἀλλὰ καινὴ κτίσις. | 15 | For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. | لِأَنَّهُ فِي ٱلْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ لَيْسَ ٱلْخِتَانُ يَنْفَعُ شَيْئًا وَلَا ٱلْغُرْلَةُ، بَلِ ٱلْخَلِيقَةُ ٱلْجَدِيدَةُ. | |
| ܘܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܠܗܢܐ ܫܒܝܠܐ ܫܠܡܝܢ ܫܠܡܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܘܪܚܡܐ ܘܥܠ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܕܐܠܗܐ | καὶ ὅσοι τῷ κανόνι τούτῳ στοιχήσουσιν, εἰρήνη ἐπ’ αὐτοὺς καὶ ἔλεος, καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν Ἰσραὴλ τοῦ Θεοῦ. | 16 | And as many as walk according to this rule, peace {be} on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God. | فَكُلُّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَسْلُكُونَ بِحَسَبِ هَذَا ٱلْقَانُونِ عَلَيْهِمْ سَلَامٌ وَرَحْمَةٌ، وَعَلَى إِسْرَائِيلِ ٱللهِ. | |
| ܡܟܝܠ ܠܝ ܐܢܫ ܥܡܠܐ ܠܐ ܢܪܡܐ ܐܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܟܘܬܡܬܗ ܕܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܒܦܓܪܝ ܫܩܝܠ ܐܢܐ | Τοῦ λοιποῦ κόπους μοι μηδεὶς παρεχέτω· ἐγὼ γὰρ τὰ στίγματα τοῦ Ἰησοῦ ἐν τῷ σώματί μου βαστάζω. | 17 | From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus. | فِي مَا بَعْدُ لَا يَجْلِبُ أَحَدٌ عَلَيَّ أَتْعَابًا، لِأَنِّي حَامِلٌ فِي جَسَدِي سِمَاتِ ٱلرَّبِّ يَسُوعَ. | |
